As she swiped through her reels, a sudden thought hit her - her clothes. The ones she had worn earlier that day. She had left them in Inder's bathroom after changing into something more comfortable.
Seraphina sat up quickly, her heart skipping a beat. What if he noticed? The idea of him finding them, knowing they were hers, made her cringe with embarrassment. She could already imagine the teasing look on his face if he brought it up.
She groaned, covering her face with her hands. This is exactly the kind of thing that would happen to me.
She stared at her phone, unsure of what to do next.
She lay back down, her mind still racing, unable to shake the thought of Inder finding her clothes. I'd die of embarrassment, she thought, pulling the blanket over her head.
Seraphina lay under the blanket, her face warm with embarrassment at the thought of Inder discovering her clothes. She tried to calm herself, but her mind refused to cooperate. The teasing look she imagined on his face only made her heart race faster.
She sat up again, staring at the door. Should she sneak into the bathroom and grab them? The apartment was quiet, and Inder was likely fast asleep on the couch. Maybe she could slip in, retrieve her clothes, and slip back out without him ever knowing.
She bit her lip, contemplating her next move. Finally, with a soft sigh, she slid out of bed and tiptoed toward the door. Opening it as quietly as she could, she peeked into the hallway. The living room light was dim, casting soft shadows on the walls. She couldn't hear any movement.
Taking a deep breath, Seraphina stepped into the hallway. She moved slowly, making her way toward the bathroom, trying to be as silent as possible. The last thing she wanted was to wake Inder and have to explain why she was sneaking around.
She reached the bathroom door, relieved that she had made it this far without incident. Her hand hovered over the doorknob, her pulse quickening. Just as she was about to turn it, she heard a soft sound behind her.
"Seraphina?" Inder's voice, low and groggy, startled her.
She froze, her heart pounding in her chest. Slowly, she turned to see him sitting up on the couch, blinking sleepily in the dim light.
"I-uh..." She fumbled for words, her face heating up. "I left my clothes in the bathroom. I didn't want to wake you."
Inder rubbed his eyes, a sleepy grin forming on his lips. "You could've just told me. No need to sneak around like a burglar."
Seraphina felt her cheeks flush, caught between embarrassment and amusement. "I didn't want to disturb your beauty sleep," she replied, attempting to lighten the mood.
Inder chuckled softly, running a hand through his tousled hair. "Trust me, I need all the beauty sleep I can get," he teased. "But I wouldn't have minded if you'd asked."
She glanced at the bathroom door, then back at him. "It's just... I didn't want to make it weird," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Inder tilted his head, studying her with a serious expression. "It's already a bit weird, isn't it?" His tone was light, but there was an underlying sincerity that made her heart race.
Then he sat up a little straighter, looking at Seraphina with a playful smile. "Why don't you just leave your clothes there? I'm giving my laundry tomorrow anyway. I can include yours with mine." He mentioned.
Seraphina's eyes widened, her face instantly flushed with concern. "What?" she whispered, her voice a little shaky. "But then... what if people start gossiping? Like, how did my clothes end up with yours? What would they think? That we spent the night together? And.." her thoughts trailed off as Inder chuckled softly, finding her worry a little amusing. "Gossip spreads fast, huh?" he said, leaning back against the couch, his eyes still on her. "But tell me then, what should we do about this? It's three in the morning."
