Coating Metal Thickness Meter

Mikro metry Coating Thickness Detector will measure all coatings on metallic substrates using the magnetic induction or eddy-current principles, ensuring the correct measuring metal thickness through paint has been applied, such as paint, lacquers, sealants, or plating. The digital metal thickness gauge meter is a professional and easy-to-use tool. High dust, gas pollution, changes in humidity and temperature will not stop the operation of this painting thickness measuring instrument.

Types of Coating Thickness Gauges

Mikrometry electronic and magnetic paint gauge provides fast and accurate measurement of the thickness of the metal coating layer. Depending on the substrate, Fe stands for iron-based and NFe stands for aluminum-based. This paint thickness measurement device for material thickness measurement, produced by measuring instruments manufacturers, is equipped with a 2-in-1 probe to automatically identify the substrate.

The metal thickness testing machine has various specifications, for example, thickness gauge of 0.5mm,1mm and 1.2mm, and can be used as electronic automative paint thickness measuring instrument, color thickness meter, mini digital thickness gauge meter, metal thickness detector, galvanized coating thickness gauge, digital glass or metal thickness gauge and so on in many fields. And our digital paint thickness measurement meter and tester gauge price are very reasonable and affordable for our customers.

There is a certain relationship between the thickness of the magnetic metal substrate coating and the magnetic resistance flux. This relationship is used on our magnetic coating thickness gauge to calculate the coating thickness on the surface of the magnetic metal substrate. And our elecoat coating thickness gauge makes use of high-frequency AC signals to generate electromagnetic field in the probe coil which indicates the size between the probe and the conductive substrate, that is, the thickness of the coating.

ETG12F1 Magnetic Coating Thickness Gauge

The Coating Thickness Gauge ETG12F1 is a professional tool and at the same time easy-to-use device that is used for accurate measurements of coatings or coatings on various metal surfaces.

ETG12N1 Eddy Current Digital Paint Thickness Gauge

The thickness gauge is designed for non-destructively measuring the thickness of coating and painting.

Eddy Current Digital Coating Thickness Gauge ETG15FN

Mikrometry coating thickness gauge ETG15FN is an economical choice that provides the hi quality measure of the paint thickness of car. This portable meter designed for noninvasive coating thickness measurements. This tester is designed to not-destructively measure the thickness of Fe and NFe.

Advantages of Coating Thickness Gauge

The thickness gauge has high precision and good stability. It can detect the thickness of the non-conductive coating on the non-magnetic metal substrate quickly, without damage and precision. Because of its small volume and integration of probe and instrument, the instrument is especially suitable for engineering field detection.

FAQS OF COATING THICKNESS GAUGE

How is metal coating thickness measured?

The thickness of non-magnetic coatings (such as aluminum, chromium, copper, enamel, rubber, paint, etc.) on magnetic metal substrates (such as steel, iron, alloy, hard magnetic steel, etc.) can be measured nondestructively by the thickness gauge based on magnetic induction principle.

Why is coating thickness important?

Take the automobile as an example: through the thickness of automobile paint, we can roughly understand the painting and sheet metal situation of the automobile, and indirectly judge the degree of injury after the accident, to provide users with quantifiable paint thickness data.

What is the purpose of a thickness gauge?

Measure the thickness of metal coating or automobile spray paint to judge the corresponding situation of the product.

How does coating thickness gauge work?

When the magnetic induction principle is adopted, the thickness of the coating is measured by the magnetic flux flowing into the Fe substrate from the probe through the nFe coating; when the eddy current principle is adopted, the electromagnetic field is generated in the probe coil by the high-frequency AC signal, and the eddy current is formed when the probe is close to the conductor. The closer the probe is to the conductive substrate, the greater the eddy current and the greater the reflection impedance.

The closer the probe is to the conductive substrate, the greater the eddy current and the greater the reflection impedance
