The sun filters, through the room, casting a warm glow over the bedroom. I stretch my arms out arms much as I can without waking Mikhail, my body deliciously sore from last night. I open my eyes to find him still asleep beside me, his arm flung around my waist possessively. His face is relaxed in his sleep, the constant furrow in his brow smoothed out. I take my time looking at him. At the sharp angle of his jaw, the long dark lashes casting shadows across his cheeks, his full sensual lips parting slightly emitting soft breaths.
I gently extricate myself out of his hold careful not to wake him and pad around the room grabbing my clothes that are scattered across his floor and quickly dress, I wince a the pain between my left, lifting my head up I see he's still asleep and breath a sigh of relief as a small satisfied smile and flush makes its way onto my face at the memory of last night. I glance at Mikhail's sleeping form, is arm that was once thrown over me now on the empty space I occupied. I can feel the guilt practically swimming through me but I push it down, 'I've never been a morning after person.' I think to myself as I walk out.
"There are many ways to navigate through the gates of grief" The councilor says as I look at Pippa, "This circle is here to teach us how others are doing, to provide a context of our own experience." I turn to Lucy to see her looking down, messing with her hands. I look to Pippa again and whisper "She's literally reading from a book... How is this helping us" Pippa ids her chuckle with a cough as the councilor continues "Lucy, you knew Macy the best. would you like to share first?" All of us turn to look at Lucy as she shakes her head "Oh I-I didn't know her that well" The woman points down to her book "It says here that loss can be felt even when you didn't know someone at all" I roll my eyes look at Lucy again "Yeah I think death is kind off... a personal experience..... You can go to the next person" Lucy finished as the councilor attempt to make her speak.
"Come on Marianne will be furious if were late" I say to Lucy as we walk away from the grief circle "Yea- Yeah lets go" She replies. "Wit every piece you turn in we will do a round table to discuss everyone's work and give feedback, I should warm you It's hell, so if your not prepared to burn in hell. you shouldn't be here" Marianne finishes as a girl behind me and Lucy lifts her hand "For the first assignment are we allowed to write about the student who dies last week" I whip my head around to face the girl as she avoids eye contact with me, I'm about to say something when Marianne speaks again "This is a fiction writing class and that's not fiction. So no" Lucy chuckles and Marianne turns to look at us "Alright let's get started" She sighs.
Were sat in my room, when Lucy walks in after having spoke to Macy's parents, she lies on the floor and groans pitifully as me, Bree and Pippa exchange looks. For the first time since she gets here Lucy makes a noise as she gets a message and moves out of her position "Who is tat?" Pippa questions "Stephan wants to go to dinner with me tonight, but I don't have the energy to act like a normal person right now" Lucy replies, "You should go, you need to do something fun. Just you know be safe, use a condom, et cetera et cetera" Pippa laughs as she walk into the toilet "I'm not having sex with him" Lucy huffs "Stop pretending like your not into him, you've already admitted it" Bree sings as se follows Pippa "No. I said I was only interested in him when he was in front of me" Lucy corrects "So get in front of him" I say from my place on the bed and Lucy looks over a smirk plastered on her face "Fine" She sends a text agreeing to the date "Now, you!" Lucy puts her phone down jumping onto the bed "Me?" I question as Bree and Pippa walk over as well "Yes you, where were you last night?" Bree asks "I-I was here" I lie "No, no you weren't because I came here last night and you were no where to be found" Pippa admits "Fuck fine. I was at Mikhail's" I give in, telling them the truth "And you fucked him" Lucy taunts causing me to blush "Yeah" I admit shyly as they laugh at me.
I'm doing an assignment when my phone rings, I roll towards my bedside table and grab it seeing a number I don't recognise. "Hello" I say "Hi Lana" Mikhail replies "M-Mikhail! Hey uh how did you get my number" I question as I stand up from my chair "I asked Wrigley, who asked Pippa, who gave it Wrigley, who gave it to me" He admits "Wow sounds like you went though a lot of effort to get my number" I joke laughing as I lie on my bed "Yeah well when the girl I brought home and had the most amazing night with, sneaks out before I wake up I kind of want to know why" He chuckles back and I can hear the smirk in his tone, "I um, I'm not really good at one night stands" I admit a blush working its way up my face "Who said it was a one night stand" He replies "I was kind of hoping to take you out" He admits and I swear I stop breathing for a second "Lana? You there?" "Y-yeah I'm here, I um- I'd love to go on a date with you" I reply softly "Good, I'll pick you up at eight, and Lana..." "Yeah" "Wear something warm" "O-okay" I murmur before ending the phone smiling at his number.
