THEY HAD ALL STAYED IN YESTERDAY, the day that elvira arrived. the swedish girl was tired from jet lag and staying up for over twenty hours plus, the other eleven teens could all use a day of nothing.

they'd stayed inside the boys' house and just watched movies, hung out and all ate dinner together, as santiago had somehow found a way to get food delivered to the resort.

today was a new day though, and everyone was ready for another night out at the resorts bar-lounge. nerissa was working today, so paul wanted to go there of course. everyone had agreed after seeing him so giddy about getting his girl, it was adorable in arabella's opinion.

it was already ten o' clock in the evening, and the friend group was at their table in the lounge part, just sipping drinks and cracking jokes. in an hour, nerissa would get off of work and the group were honestly just waiting for that.

arabella was sat on kimi's lap while talking to linnea and valentina, who were sitting on ollie's and diego's laps, respectively. in truth, there was more then enough space in the booth for the girls to sit, they all just didn't feel like it.

apparently, tonight was slow dance night at the lounge. the whole evening there had only been slow songs playing, and arabella was actually very excited about it.

when her conversation with linnea and valentina died out a bit, she turned to face kimi behind her. his attention immediately went to her, abandoning his conversation with ollie and diego, "wanna dance?" he asked, as if he could read her mind.

she nodded eagerly before getting up from his lap, allowing him to also get up. she grabbed one of his hands in hers and dragged him over to the dance floor, where a few couples were already shuffling around.

the song changed to 'fantasmas' by humbe and arabella internally cheered. kimi snaked his arms around her waist as she stood impossibly close to him. she wrapped her arms around his neck and gently laid her head on his collarbone. she closed her eyes, savoring the moment.

she whispered the lyrics along quietly, but kimi could hear her soft singing. he loved it— screw that, he loved her. and he wanted to tell her.

he waited for the song to be over as they shuffled in silence (apart from arabella's soft whispers). when the last few notes hit the speakers, he spoke for the first time in minutes. "bellie?"

"yes?"

"can i speak to you outside for a second?" the way he had worded it worried bella to no extent. her mind was racing with questions, was he about to 'break up' with her? did he want to end what they had? she prayed to the gods above that that was not it.

"sure." was her only answer as she started guiding him through the crowd by his hand again. the girl shot a quick text to the group chat that her and kimi were going home and didn't wait for a reply.

they made their way outside, bella momentarily stopped, waiting for the boy to say something. he kept walking though, this time making him guide her along.

they walked in silence for about five minutes until they made it to the beach, where he sat down. bella was terrified as she sat down next to him. "okay, you're worrying me, what's wrong?" she broke the silence.
