Sally layed in bed with Tate, she was staring up at the ceiling and sighed. She was dreading the punishment she would receive from her parents today.

She was glad Tate had slept round as she was worried she wouldn't be able to see him.

"Morning." Tate said, brushing hair out of her face.

"Morning. You going to school?" Sally asked.

"Yeah." Tate yawned and Sally frowned.

"Please stay safe." Sally stated worriedly.

She had been alone and they had ambushed her. She was terrified that Minnie's boyfriend would beat up Tate while she was gone.

"I'll be okay. Jake follows orders and there's no Minnie to order him around." Tate reasured her. "I better go."

"Yeah. I'll call you later and let you know what's happened." Sally told him in a whisper voice. She had been feeling like shit.

"Okay. Good luck darling." Tate kissed her head before getting up and leaving hers.

Sally got up, putting on fluffy joggers and a long sleeved band t shirt. Not only was she worried what her punishment would be, she was worried they now knew what she did to herself.

"Sally Rose get down now." Darla yelled up and Sally took in a deep breath and slowly trudged down the stairs.

She felt nervous as she sat in her usual seat at the dining table. Her parents in their seats aswell.

"Sally you will be grounded for 3 weeks." Darla told her and Sally frowned.

"I didn't even start the fight." Sally stated in annoyance.

"Do not speak back." Tim scolded and Sally rolled her eyes, her knee bouncing with nerves. "This means, no walkman, no TV, and no seeing that strange boy."

"He's not strange." Sally defended and Tim just waved her off.

"We are also disgusted with what you do to yourself and we will not let it get out that you mutilate yourself." Darla said coldly.

Sally felt her heart shatter. Her parents weren't worried or sad in the right way. All they cared about was how they came across.

"Thanks for the concern." Sally mumbled and Darla scoffed at her.

"We are concerned. That is why later you're father will be giving you a therapy session." Darla told her.

"Are you fucking serious?" Sally's eyes widened.

"Do not speak that way." Tim hit the table making Sally flinch.

"This is ridiculous. I didn't do anything wrong." Sally protested.

"Sally, you were in a fight and we also found cigarettes in you're room. We are taking them away aswell." Tim told her and Sally squeezed her arms in frustration.

"And don't think about sneaking out in the next 3 weeks either. We'll know." Darla warned her.

"I wish you guys never adopted me!" Sally exclaimed angrily, she jumped up and ran back to her room.

She slammed her door shut and got in her bed, curling up and crying. Things had been going so good. She should have known that it wouldn't have lasted. She wasn't that lucky.

Sally sat in her fathers home office and felt like it was a waste of time. But atleast she was finally gonna find out if her father was a good psychiatrist or not.

"Sally, let's start with the fight." Tim sighed. He wasn't really interested.

"These girls bully me. They exposed me, one pulled on me. I pushed her away. Turned into a fight." Sally shrugged, her leg bouncing up and down.

"Why didn't you ask her to get off?" Tim asked and she gave him a look of bewilderment.

"I can't speak at school. You know this." Sally frowned.

"Well, you shouldn't have shoved. It was wrong and I am disappointed in you for that." Tim told her and Sally's eyes glazed over. "Now, let's address the self harm."

"Why? You don't actually care." Sally crossed her arms and Tim sighed in annoyance.

"You're right. I will not allow this to get out Sally. That's why I need to know if you're suicidal and whether to ship you off to a psychiatric building or not."

"I'm not suicidal." Sally seethed. "God why did you even adopt me if you don't give a shit."

"We do care Sally. But some things are more important." Tim explained.

"Lovely how you're daughters pain is less important than you're image." Sally gave him a dirty look and stood up to leave.

"Sally we are not finished yet." Tim scolded.

"I'm done." Sally stated and she left the room.

She got to her room and looked into her mirror. She had a dark purple bruise on her left cheekbone and her nose was slightly bruised along with a scab on her lip.

Sally hated her appearance all the time, now she hated it more than ever. She hated this week.

She hated people. She hated her parents. She hated herself immensely and she hated life. She hated being a burden and a disappointment.

The only thing tethering her to the living was Tate. He was the light in her life, but she wasn't sure how much longer she could hold on for him.

"Tate?" Sally whispered calling him later on after school had finished.

"Hey, Sal. How'd it go?" Tate frowned.

His day hadn't been that good. He had pissed of Jack and gotten punched leading to a nose bleed. Luckily he hadn't bruised.

"Bad. I'm grounded for 3 weeks. I'm not allowed to see you." Sally stated.

"So when can I come over?" Tate asked.

"Tate.." Sally sighed.

"I'm coming over. Be there soon." Tate told her and Sally shook her head, her dull mood lifting ever so slightly.

She went to her balcony, opening the door, watching as Tate snuck past the front window and climbing up to the balcony.

The two hugged tightly, Tate kissing her forehead before they moved further into her bedroom. They sat on her bed.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Tate asked, brushing her hair out of her face.

"No." She shook her head, being brave she moved ontop of his lap and he held her waist. "Just kiss me and don't stop."

Tate nodded, kissing Sally passionately. Her hands rubbed over his chest as his hands moved to her hips and he squeezed them.

Sally gasped and Tate took this opportunity to add tongue to the kiss, rocking Sally's body and making her moan.

He flipped them over and they got onto the bed properly. Tate kissing her neck as she unbuttoned his shirt.

Both of them needed this. To be intimate together. To be close to each other. It had been a shitty week.

They both needed this distraction, but it wasn't just a distraction. It was their bodies molding together, strengthening their bond.
