The next morning, Iveline was dragged out of bed and soft cuffs placed onto her hands.
The guards met up and Iveline looked at Kit with worry in her eyes. Kit was nervous aswell, but not for himself, but for Iveline.
Sister Jude's office door opened and Kit and Iveline were guided inside. Iveline glaring at Lana.
"These two did not share your courage and wisdom and, as such, will be punished." Jude explained to Lana. "Your reward is you will not."
Iveline grunted as she got pushed to bend over, her front laying on Sister Jude's desk. Dread and worry filling her lungs for her and Kit.
"You're so twisted." Lana replied, Iveline turning to look at Kit beside her who was in the same position.
"Don't make me change my mind Miss Lana Banana." Jude stated. "Which of these would you like to see on our Iveline's bare behind, and which on out doe eyed James Dean copycat?"
Iveline became more nervous about the punishment and began to bite and rip the skin off her lip.
"Pick one." Jude said and after a moment spoke again. "Oh come on Miss Winters, live large."
Iveline felt her heart quicken and felt embarrassed with her bare ass sticking out. She kept her eyes on Kit and felt the cane touch her ass for a moment as Jude lined it up.
"I'm so sorry, Iveline." Lana spoke and Iveline rolled her eyes.
"Don't speak to me." Iveline retorted in anger. As Jude was about to do it, Kit stood up.
"Stand up, Ivy. Stand up." Kit told her, touching her shoulder gently. Iveline stood up straight in confusion, looking from Jude to Kit. "I'm the guilty one here Sister, she was a pawn. She's not the one who deserves to be punished, I am."
"Kit." Iveline mumbled.
"I'm the guilty one." Kit repeated. "I am. She was just trying to help a friend, a desperate friend."
"He seems to think you're just one big scoop of melting strawberry ice cream." Jude stated and Iveline looked at her, not knowing exactly what the nun meant. "Go stand over there."
Iveline reluctantly stood back to the wall out of the way, making eye contact with Kit. She didn't want him to be punished, but she knew he wouldn't let her be the one to get punished.
"So that was twenty lashes each. So that makes 40 for you." Jude stated.
Kit leaned back over, Iveline sending a glare to Lana. She looked back to Kit, feeling guilty as he grunted in pain.

"You didn't have to do that, you know." Iveline stated as Kit winced as they sat down at the table together.
"I didn't want you to get hurt." Kit told her and Iveline felt affection for him soar.
"No guy has ever done anything that nice for me before." Iveline admitted with embarrassment.
"I'm glad I could do something nice for you, Ivy. You deserve only the best." Kit told her sincerely and Iveline felt as if she might cry.
She had never seen herself as deserving good things, her parents certainly didn't think she deserved good things. It was nice to hear it. Especially from Kit, it made it more special to her.
Iveline then noticed Mary Eunice walking in, carrying herself different than usual. She turned the music off and turned to the room.
"Sister Jude has asked me to make an announcement. There's a big storm heading our way. And when it hits, half of you will be too afraid to move, and the other half won't stop moving." Mary Eunice explained. "It would be chaos. And that won't do. So, Sister Jude has arranged for a distraction. A movie on Friday night when the storm will be at its worst. We're all going to be together in the dark, watching The Sign Of The Cross, a movie full of fire, sex, and the death of Christians. What fun."
Grace then walked over as Sister Mary Eunice left. Iveline sitting close to Kit.
"There won't be a lock down this Friday night if we're all supposed to be watching a movie." Kit noted.
"You two were just caught trying to escape." Grace stated.
"Which means they won't expect it again so soon." Iveline told her, Kit nodded. Lana then walked in, and for the first time, Iveline decided to stand up for herself. "You ruined our chance of getting out of here."
"I'd do it again if it means I can stop him from killing anymore." Lana replied.
"Can't say I blame you. I'd have done the same thing if I believed what you believe." Kit stated, standing beside Iveline. "But I'm innocent."
"Walker. Dr Arden wants to see you." Carl the ordelie stated walking over.
Kit went with him and Iveline looked at him worriedly. She hated Dr Arden and hoped he wouldn't torture Kit.

Iveline was working in the Kitchen, rolling pieces of dough as she thought of possible ways to sneak out while the film was playing Friday.
"I saw you guys conspiring upstairs." Shelley stated, Iveline looking up in suprise.
She had talked to the woman on a few occasions and actually liked her. She felt bad that she had been put in here because she's a nymphomaniac.
"You're plotting your next escape." Shelley added and Iveline just stayed quiet as she rolled the dough. "I can help. I'm smart. Smarter than the reporter."
"I'm not sure." Iveline stated.
"Come on. I just want to be free, to get out of here. We can help each other." Shelley replied.
"Okay." Iveline mumbled.
Iveline then looked to Pepper and frowned. She knew it wouldn't be easy to get Pepper out with them, no matter how desperately she wanted to help her.
But, Iveline knew if they got out she would try and get Pepper out as soon as she could. She was too kind of a soul to be in this place.
