Photoshoot gone wrong

Yoongi had always preferred quiet spaces—his small, tidy apartment or the dimly lit office where he worked as a programmer. The world outside, with its noise and chaos, didn’t suit him. So when he stepped off the plane, briefcase in hand, he was already dreading the meeting ahead. He was supposed to meet a client to discuss some complex coding for a new app, and all he wanted was to get it over with and go back home.

Meanwhile, across town, Jimin was frantically racing through traffic, half paying attention to the directions on his phone. He worked for a major entertainment company, managing photo shoots and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Today’s task seemed easy enough: pick up a model arriving from out of town. The only description he’d been given was that the model was "very handsome," and honestly, Jimin wasn’t even sure why they bothered. Handsome models were a dime a dozen in his industry. Still, he had a job to do, and after weaving through the city, he arrived at the airport just in time.

Jimin stood near the arrival gate, scanning the crowd. He didn’t have a sign or anything—he figured he’d know when he saw the guy. And then, out of the crowd, Yoongi appeared. Jimin's eyes widened slightly. The man was dressed in a sleek black jacket, with perfectly tousled hair and sharp, brooding features. He wasn’t tall like a runway model, but there was something undeniably captivating about him. Without a second thought, Jimin assumed this had to be the guy.

"Excuse me, are you here for the shoot?" Jimin asked, stepping forward with a bright smile, thinking this was his moment to make a good first impression.

Yoongi blinked at him, confusion settling over his features. "Shoot?" he repeated, unsure of what this overly enthusiastic guy was talking about.

"Yeah, the photoshoot. They’re waiting for you," Jimin said, glancing down at his phone for a moment before looking back at Yoongi. "Come on, we’re already running a bit late."

Yoongi hesitated, trying to piece together what was happening. He was supposed to meet a client, not go to a photoshoot. But the guy in front of him seemed so sure, and Yoongi—never one to make a scene—figured there must be some mistake he wasn’t aware of. Maybe the client was also involved in some photoshoot he hadn’t been told about. Whatever it was, he didn’t have the energy to argue.

"Alright..." Yoongi muttered, deciding to follow along for now. Jimin led him out of the airport and into a sleek black car, all the while chatting about how the shoot was going to be quick and how the director was thrilled to work with someone of his "caliber." Yoongi just nodded, still baffled but figuring things would clear up soon enough.

They arrived at a studio, bustling with activity. Bright lights, photographers, and stylists darting around—it was the exact kind of scene Yoongi typically avoided. As they walked in, Jimin was introducing him to the crew, and Yoongi had the distinct feeling that none of this was right.

"So, what look are we going for today?" one of the stylists asked, approaching Yoongi with a set of makeup brushes.

Yoongi frowned. "Look? I’m not—"

But before he could finish, Jimin interrupted, already guiding him toward the makeup chair. "He’s going to be great, trust me. Let’s get him ready."

As Yoongi sat there, confused and staring at his reflection in the mirror, he finally realized there had been some kind of mix-up. He wasn’t supposed to be here. He was supposed to be meeting a client. The idea of being part of a photoshoot made no sense. But when he tried to explain, Jimin simply smiled and waved him off.

"You’re too modest," Jimin said with a wink. "Just trust me, okay? The camera’s going to love you."

Yoongi opened his mouth to protest again, but something about Jimin’s excitement made him pause. He’d never been the type to get involved in situations like this, but maybe—just maybe—it wouldn’t hurt to go along with it for a bit longer.

The shoot started soon after. Yoongi was dressed in designer clothes, standing under the blinding lights, unsure of what to do. The photographer kept telling him to "look fierce," and Yoongi, still utterly confused, just scowled slightly, which seemed to please everyone.

Meanwhile, Jimin watched from the sidelines, completely unaware of the mix-up. He was pleased with himself, thinking he’d nailed the task of getting the model to the shoot on time. But as the day went on, little things started to nag at him. The way Yoongi held himself—stiff, unsure, like he wasn’t used to being in front of a camera. And the fact that Yoongi hadn’t spoken much, only answering questions with short, clipped replies.

Finally, as the shoot wrapped up, Jimin approached him, offering a water bottle. "You did great," he said, smiling. "But I have to admit, you seem a little... distracted?"

Yoongi finally couldn’t hold it in any longer. "I think there’s been a mistake," he said, taking the water. "I’m not a model. I’m a programmer. I was supposed to meet a client today."

Jimin blinked, his smile freezing. "Wait, what?"

Yoongi let out a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, I was here for work. I have no idea why I’m at a photoshoot."

It took a moment for the realization to sink in, and when it did, Jimin’s face flushed red with embarrassment. "Oh my god," he muttered, covering his face with his hand. "I thought—because you looked... I mean, you’re really handsome, so I thought you were the model."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Handsome, huh?"

Jimin groaned, clearly mortified. "I’m so sorry. I’ll fix this, I swear. I can’t believe I dragged you into this."

But Yoongi, surprisingly, didn’t seem too bothered. He shrugged, his smirk growing just a little. "It’s fine. I mean, I’ve never been in a photoshoot before, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought."

Jimin looked at him, relief slowly washing over the embarrassment. "You’re taking this way better than I expected."

"Well," Yoongi said with a chuckle, "I guess I can say I tried something new today."

As the chaos of the day finally settled, the two stood there, a strange sense of amusement between them. Neither had expected their paths to cross like this, but now that they had, neither could deny it had been an interesting day—one they wouldn’t soon forget.
