I park the car and check around for stalkers or paparazzi- there's none. Tonight is the night. I help Minseo out of the car, and we take the elevator up to my floor. She steps inside my apartment, and like always, she's unbothered by the fancy décor. It's one of the things I love about her. She doesn't care about the luxuries.

"Nice painting," she says staring at the one I made with Yoongi hyung a few months ago. I smile, "Thanks, Yoongi hyung and I made it." I tell her and walk towards the open kitchen, pulling out a bottle of wine, "Drinks?"

She looks at it, then checks the time, "Okay, sure."

I pour it into two glasses and top them with ice. We sit at the table together, the ambient lights from the shelves upping the vibe. The curtains are wide open, showing a glimpse of Seoul's skyline. Minseo stands up and walks to it, taking in the view, her glass in her hands. Slow jazz is playing on the speakers lightly, and the mood just... feels right. I walk up to her with my wineglass, "You like the view?" I ask and take a sip. Minseo nods, "I rarely get to see it." she says and drinks too.

I furrow my eyebrows. She must've been used to skylines, right? She's from an influential family, so obviously must have a big house.

"I can see what you're thinking, Jungkook," Minseo says, "We do have a big house, but it's more sort of a bungalow, if you get it."

Oh. Makes sense.

"Get it." I say. We stand there in silence, sipping wine and enjoying the view. The music, the dim lighting, the pleasant wine- it's setting in.

After what feels like a good 20 minutes, Minseo finally speaks, "Why do you like me?" she asks. I tilt my head, "I don't."

Minseo gets taken aback, "What?" she asks confused.

I giggle, "It's not just 'I like you.' It's more than that. Way more than just that." I tell her, and subtly walk towards her, closing the distance, "Just give me one chance to prove it to you, Han Minseo, that I love you."

Her eyes meet mine, searching for something. She looks beautiful, but there's something in her expression- conflict, hesitation. My heart pounds as I close the distance, one hand reaching for hers. I gently lift it, intertwining our fingers. There's feelings of warmth. Some hints of appreciation, and some hints of considering my offer. A minute later, she nods, "Lets see."

I smile and set my wineglass on the counter, drawing back to her. My arms sweep across and tug at her waist, and I bore deeply into her eyes.

"I love you because," I say, one of my hands finding hers, and I hold it, lifting it in the air, "-you're so stunningly gorgeous."

We dance along to the soft music. Minseo doesn't seem drunk at all. She took it well and is going with the flow.

The other hand of mine lifts her thigh up, wrapping it around mine, "I love you because," I entwine our fingers, "-your whole aura speaks of calmness."

She gasps as I lift her in the air effortlessly.

"I love you because," I bring her close to my face, our lips centimeters apart, "You're you."

Minseo's breath quickens, her eyes piercing mine.

My lips brush hers, and I look at her for permission. Please. Please say yes. Her eyes twinkle in the dark, obscene, mysterious. I can't tell if it's a yes or no.

Suddenly, she pushes me away, "S-Sorry," she says, "I-I can't, I'm- I need to go."

My heart breaks. What the hell happened to her?

She fixes her shirt and walks to the door, putting on her shoes.

What? Why did she suddenly- how... why-

But her urgency prompts me into following her. I don't have time to sort out my feelings. She looks vulnerable. "It's okay. I'll drop you home."

"Don't." she mutters, taking her bag from the table. Her hand clasps the doorknob, and she stops.

I look at her as she's contemplating something in her mind. Her eyebrows furrow, her lips go back to the focused pout.

She's having a mental debate.

My heart feels crushed.
