Why did it have to be this way? It didn't make sense to you at all, why would a stranger go out of their way to harm someone so innocent and precious to you? Your sister was the only person you had left, and you still couldn't protect her. You watched in silence as a man dressed in pure black held her neck in the air as her legs dangled off the ground. Initially your first reaction was shock, but the second was unhinged anger.

Your eyes were wide and focused on him as you grabbed a huge rock big enough to fill your hand as you locked onto him, running fast enough to catch him off guard as you snuck behind, arm going back as you jumped and swung your arm down. A loud sound could be heard from the impact, but once you saw his grip release on your sister, it was over.

Maybe it was the adrenaline, but she didn't feel heavy as you lifted her onto your shoulder and ran far into the woods, dodging the trees and branches in your way as you ran despite the heavy fog. You could hear the wind blending in with the sound of your heart thumping in your ears as you breathe raggedly, not faltering for a second.

You weren't sure how much time you spent running, but you come to a halt as the exhaustion settles into your mind and body, and you collapse behind a tree, breathing heavily as you continue to hold your sister. You manage to find some strength to sit her up against the tree, your eyes worriedly scanning over her body as your fingers reach to feel her pulse.

It was faint, but still there, and you breathe a sigh of relief. You take in her condition, removing your own knit cardigan to drape it over her body to help her regain warmth. You shiver, wearing nothing but a nightdress and some slippers that managed to take you this far. It happened so quickly you had no time to process anything.

You lived in the countryside, your house beside a forest. Your dear sister had to take a pathway beside it but not through it, and you were outside drinking coffee on the porch when you heard a shrill scream. Your instinct made your legs move before your mind towards the sound, and you came upon the horrid sight that made you freeze in your tracks.

You had so many questions, as to how she ended up there in the first place, in the grasp of that cruel monster. Sighing softly, you remain seated, running a hand through your loose hair as you glance around, head turning to the right then left. A jolt runs though your body when you see him crouched beside you with a smirk, and you widen your eyes before reaching to grab your sister only for him to snatch your wrist and tug you forward.

You yelp and he swings your body over his shoulder with little effort, making you dizzy as you try to adjust to the new point of view before squirming, only his arm held down your legs so you could only hit his back. "Let me go...!" You demand with a trembling voice, pushing your body up in an attempt to loosen his balance but failing miserably.

The stranger doesn't answer, instead taking you away from your sister still laid against the tree as you resist his grasp, calling out to your unconscious sister desperately before you feel a whiplash as he shoves you against a tree. "You fucking..!" The words die on your throat with a strangled gasp when he grabs your hair to pull you forward and roughly hits the back of your neck, the pain numbing your brain as you feel your consciousness fade despite your resistance, and you soon fall into the void of deep darkness.

You weren't sure how much time had passed, everything felt fuzzy and distorted as you came to consciousness, heavy eyes blinking open as your head lifted from its hanging position, making you feel a slight strain and throb that jolted you awake as you wince and groan softly. Your hand attempts to instinctively grab the back of your neck, but it is restrained accompanied with the sound of chains rattling.

This makes your eyes shoot wide open, the events seemingly running through your head as you tug at your arms, glancing up to see them chained above with a pair of iron cuffs connected by a chain bolted into the cement wall. You blink, the panic settling in as you feel your heartbeat pick up its pace, your breathing growing more heavy.

Just where was this place? Where the heck did that psychopath take you and where was your little sister? Did he do something, why were you chained up, just what was happening? As you panic, you fail to notice the soft footfalls to your left as you look down at the floor in a total daze, mind a frenzy as you shake against the wall.

"What a pathetic sight."

The masculine voice makes everything seemingly halt, the distaste in his tone causes you to glance toward its direction, where you see that same monster. The first thing you noticed about him were his dark, sharp and intense eyes that made an unpleasant shiver run through your entire body. You felt a furrow settle between your brows at the mere sight of him.

You noticed this before, but he was tall. His hair was short and black, and he appears to be at least in his late 20's. Adding to his height was his lean figure, and lithe muscles that peaked under his black shirt. It seems black was the only color in his wardrobe as his sweats matched the shade of his shirt, his expression serious and emotionless, contributing with his menacing demeanor.

The mere sight of him made you sick.

You watch him carefully as he takes steps towards you, long, slow, and agonizing steps before he halts directly in front of you, facing your smaller frame as he looks down at you. "You two surely are related. Such crafty little foxes." He states rather simply, and you blink, feeling rather bewildered by his words as you frown in confusion.

A gasp escapes you when his hand reaches to snatch your jaw and tilt your head up, his body a mere inch away now as he glares down at you in such an intimidating way, his fingers pressing into the flesh around your jaw as he grips it firmly. "Thinking you can escape from me."
