Muerte swears vengeance

Tuesday, October 9th, 2014 at 8:30p.m., 15-year-old Athena Venus Asma Trabago was riding in the car with her parents, Baron and Thea Trabago, singing along to Hotel California by The Eagles while it was raining. They were coming back from the movies and Thea was singing along with her while they were smiling. Baron tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, nodding his head, and smiling while listening to them singing. They were getting ready to turn a corner, until, a rain of bullets came at Baron and Thea. Baron swerved and everybody screamed. A Mac truck crashed into them purposefully and Athena was ejected from the car.

Baron & Thea (in unison): Athena!!!

Retribucion Venganza started shooting at the perpetrators and Hector "Muerte" Justiciero threw his shooting stars at two of the men. He shot the sniper ten times and ran towards Baron and Thea's bodies. They heard ambulances and sirens in the distance. He felt for Thea's pulse and there was nothing. He felt for Baron's pulse and Baron had a slight pulse.

Hector: Shit! Baron, Baron, wake up, come on, Baron, wake up, man. Help is on the way.

Baron (weakly): I ain't gon' make it, bro. Do me a favor. Take care of Athena for us and have her married into your family. I saw that your boys are quite fond of her. Have one of'em turn her into a Justiciero and keep an eye on her. Give her this when the time is right.

He took out an envelope from his pocket and handed it to Hector. Hector took it from his bloody hand and put it in his pocket.

Hector: Hey, you listen to me, you're gonna live. The ambulance and the cops are on their way, right now. My boys alerted them. I will get vengeance for you and your family. Stay awake, Baron! 

Baron: Find Athena. She was ejected from the car. Tell her we love her.

Two tears rolled down his cheeks and he let out his last breath. He let go of Hector's hand and Athena was crawling towards her parents covered in dirt, rain, and her own blood. She was wheezing and she made it back to the road. Hector was screaming and searching for Athena, until, he saw her crawling onto the road towards her parents. He ran towards her and held onto her. She kept trying to gasp for air while she was crying.

Hector: It's okay, I got you, I got you.

Athena: Mama! Papa! Mama! Papa!

Hector (covering her eyes): Don't look, mija, don't look!

Athena: No, Mama, Papa!

The medics put Baron and Thea's lifeless bodies in body bags and had them sent to the morgue while Athena went to the hospital. During surgery, Athena fell into a coma, and stayed in a coma for two years. She missed out on her parents' funeral that Hector prepared for them. Him and his family would visit her in the hospital. She came out of her coma in November of 2016, and ever since, then, she's been having flashbacks of her parents' death.
