Smartness (Starburst's Version Of Stupidity...)

Okay, so I have been told that I am a pretty smart person. Keeping high grades and an open mind, I have many possibilities of what I could do with my smarts. But you know what I hate? When some crappy, stuck-up person comes along and makes me feel like an idiot.

You are probably thinking, "What are you even talking about?" well, let me explain to you what I mean.

One of my least favorite ways people do this is when it seems like everyone EXCEPT you knows about something. For example, I was at my friend's house the other day. Us, plus a couple of other girls, were sitting down, wondering what to do. Suddenly, my friend got the "fantastic" idea of playing a board game. It sucked though, because as soon as she got it out, everyone expected me to lead the game.

I was like, " Umm, how do you play?" that was the WORST mistake I could EVER make! They all start laughing at me, and say, "Seriously? You don't know how to play? Wow!" Then, they explained the game to me like I was some toddler. I was just thinking the entire time, I'M NOT STUPID!!!!!! I'M SMARTER THAN YOU!!!!!!! Then, after she explained it to me, another girl, one who had laughed at ME for not knowing how to play, said SHE didn't know how to play, either!

YOU THINK YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO LAUGH AT ME WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE A CRAP ABOUT HOW TO PLAY EITHER?!!!! I'M GOING TO-

Okay, anyways, that really frustrates me. Don't treat somebody like CRAP if you don't know any more than they do. It's low, and you are really asking to get the stuffing beaten out of you if you do.  Another thing I hate is when a normally stupid person turns into a super-computer. What.The.Heck. The annoying thing is, it only happens AFTER you say something that isn't correct. For example:

Teacher: "What's 4,000 divided by 3 equal?"

............

Teacher: -Calls on random kid- "What do you think?"

RandomKid: "Ummm, 1,200?"

StupidKid: -Raises hand- Noooo, it's 1,333.3333..... because, according to bla-bla-bla, you need to bla-bla-bla and you get bla-bla-bla-bla!"

RandomKid: Oh.

THAT'S WHAT I HATE SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you freakin KNEW the answer, why be a stuck-up crap and wait for someone else to get the question wrong? Teachers need to call on these kids, so that they can put their powers to use for the world. Plus, the only thing you can say after they make you look stupid is, "Oh." because you KNOW they are right!!!!!! That's SO FRUSTRATING.

Finally, I just hate overly smart people in general. Now, I understand some may take this statement wrong, so allow me to explain myself.

 There is a difference between smart and over-educated.

Smart is when you generally have a good intelligence level on basic, and a few complex things in life. Example, you could be smart in Biology, and smart in Math. Then there is accelerated. Accelerated is when you are able to learn at a faster rate than most. It has NOTHING to do with being smarter than somebody else. If you take a close look, the average and accelerated curriculum are close, its just that accelerated kids learn extra things because of their fast learning rate. Then there is accelerated gifted, which I have no idea what exactly means. I'm guessing it means you are smart, and learn at a faster pace. Finally, gifted comes to mind. Gifted is probably along the lines of that your brain grasps the concept better than most people in the world. Example, you could be gifted in Biology, and gifted in Math.

Then there is just plain over-educated.

Over-educated is when you just took the time to learn unnecessary things for no reason. Now, I understand that you can take it opon yourself to learn a particular subject or course your school doesn't offer, but to try to learn things that have nothing to do with you or your dreams and goals is just plain annoying. I can't tell you HOW many times my teacher has said something in class, and this kid has to comment about it, when the rest of us have NO IDEA how they know this stuff.

Example:

Teacher: -Straying Off Main Subject- Oh, I remember this band! They were the bees knees, they were the bomb back in those days!

Overly-EducatedKid: Yes, The Bla-Bla-Bla was a very popular band from 1960-1972, conducting a series of 12 individual albums, and bla-bla-bla, they bla bla bla bla bla.......

What.The.Heck. How do these kids know this stuff? Do they take it opon themselves to learn every freakin thing in the encyclopedia? or did they just search it up on their phone, to please the teacher and annoy all the rest of the class? I don't know, but it annoys enough of us. If you want to be a smart person, search up things that count, not random topics your teacher might like!!!!!!!

What did we learn today? Smartness is spreading. Not the RIGHT kind of smartness, the annoying kind! We need to stop this. This is going to ruin everything smart people- the right kind of smart people- have fought hard to protect. At least with stupidity, we can contain the people who have very little brain cells. Nobody wants to be stupid. But smart people, no, everyone wants to be smart. Example:

RandomKid: You're stupid.

StupidKid: SHUT UP I HATE YOU!!!!!

Then the stupid kid starts to realize, with enough influence, he needs to change his ways. However, the wrong kind of smart people don't stop spreading.

Example:

RandomKid: You're smart.

StupidKid: Really? Wow! Learning from those smart kids who answer every question in class after everyone else fails and knows every unnecessary thing on this planet really pays off. I shall influence my ways to the other people of the world!

That's what happens with this. STOP THE SPREAD OF SMARTNESS. Be who you are! Don't be the crappy kid that nobody likes who is overly-educated and spends 2/3 of his life reading the encyclopedia! BE YOU.
