THE LIFE OF ANONYMITY had suited Mallory Sharp quite well. She was able to use the money made from the sales of her famous fantasy book series without dealing with the 'glitz and glamour' that typically came alongside it. The thought of people knowing her name, knowing she had been the one to write it filled her with dread. So many authors who came before all had one thing in common with their complaints about being an author: overly enthusiastic fans who went too far.

That was something Mallory couldn't handle and so she chose to publish her works under the pen-name, Esme Potter. An amalgamation of names from her own favourite books series that couldn't possibly be tied back to her. And so, with the pen-name attached and her urge to write firing off into her veins, nothing could stop her.

That is until one day, when she had least expected, a day which had been claimed for joy only, she was suddenly the target of someone unstable. Someone who knew who she was and someone who hated her for it.
