Kevin and I walked into our front door to be greeted by the cats. They were very excited to see us. My brother left a couple hours before we got there

He wasn't my biological brother, but he was just like a brother to me, so I called him my brother. His name was Doug. Doug was in a band from New Jersey. I met him indirectly through Maddie. They played the same festival at one time, that I ended up at. Maddie was ignoring me and when I tried to talk to her to tell her I was leaving, she flipped out on me for leaving. He stepped in and made sure I was okay.

Doug and I had a lot in common. We both wrote music with a plot line of the vocalist being some sort of hero. We both sang and we both played piano. When his band rebranded with a new name, it's new symbol also had an eerie resemblance to something I had came up in elementary school.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fantasies at some point about us being more then friends, but he was engaged when I met him, and married soon after. I always preferred friendship with people over romantic intentions, but I've always lusted for love. I'm guessing it stemmed from my fucked up childhood.

I was lucky that until this point, I was only surrounded by people that had moral and decent boundaries set. Anyone that I had some sort of inappropriate crush on, was devoted to their partners, so I never had the temptation Andy was throwing me.

Kevin went to empty out the van, I ran to the bathroom and lost track of time for the first time in weeks, scrolling on social media. I also sent Jinxx a text. I asked how everything was going and told him we had gotten home a day early, but not to tell Andy. I asked if I could call him to talk about the Andy thing. He told me I could call him whenever I was ready too.

I get out is the bathroom to see Kevin had already got the van emptied and was sitting in the couch waiting for me. I asked if he could take the van back and get our car back, then go to the store to get groceries. I told him I wanted to call Jinxx and try to sort out the Andy thing, but I know we had to get this stuff done. Kevin agreed, kissed my forehead and left.

It took me about ten minutes to work up the courage to call Jinxx. I was worried Andy would answer. I clicked on his contact and my finger hovered over the call button until the screen went blank. I unlocked my phone and went through this process many times before pushing call.

"Hello?" A girl's voice said in the other end of the call. "Who's this?"

"Uhmm... I'm Cali, am I not in Jinxx's phone? Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Alice, Jinxx's wife. You're in his phone as Andy's kryptonite." She laughs a bit. "I'll go get Jinxx, he's in the playroom with Lennon right now. We don't like to bring our phones in there when we play with him."

I guess I hadn't been keeping up in the Black Veil Brides news, I hadn't realized Jinxx had remarried or had a kid. I listened as Alice called for Jinxx, and give him his phone. She told him she loved him and then went to play with their son.

"Hey, sorry about that. I thought you meant you'd call way later."

"Did you tell her anything? Does she know I was with Andy when he got hit?"

"I didn't quite tell her that. I told her Andy has a huge infatuation with you, but you're married. I said Andy met you in Ohio but doesn't remember because if the accident and you're keeping it quiet, that only I know everything. She's a safe space Cali. You can trust her with your life if you needed to. I know that I would."

"Okay, that's fine. As long as she doesn't tell anyone at all. I don't want to cause anyone any marital issues."

"So, what exactly did you want to discuss?"
