It was still early when Sam and Katie arrived at The C Spot. The café was supposed to open soon, and they always liked to get there early to prep. But as they approached the block, something was very wrong.

The parking lot across from the café was swarming with cops, EMTs, and the press. Blue and red lights bounced off the buildings, creating an eerie glow. The low murmur of radios mixed with the distant hum of morning traffic. Katie slowed her steps, her eyes wide with confusion.

"Sam... what the hell is going on?" Katie asked, gripping her bag tighter.

"I don't know," Sam replied, equally puzzled as they crossed the street. As they neared the café, they saw several men in black suits standing by the entrance, their expressions stern and uninviting.

One of the men, tall and broad-shouldered, spotted them and quickly made his way over. His presence was commanding, his steps purposeful.

"Katie Mullins?" he asked, his voice low but firm.

Katie blinked, startled. "Yes... that's me."

"You need to come with us immediately. Please get in the car," he said, gesturing toward a black SUV idling nearby.

"Hold on," Sam cut in, stepping protectively between Katie and the man. "Who are you? What's happening?"

The man barely glanced at Sam. "Sir, step back."

"No way," Sam replied, his voice hardening. "We're not going anywhere until you tell us what this is about."

The man looked over his shoulder, giving a small gesture to his team. At that moment, the door of the SUV opened, and a woman stepped out. She was in her late thirties, with sharp, calculating eyes and an air of authority. Her black suit was crisp and immaculate, and her auburn hair was tied back in a severe bun.

"Miss Mullins, I'm Angela Marsh, FBI. Director of Cyber Division," she said, flashing her badge.

Katie's face paled. Sam, still on edge, took a cautious step back but didn't stop glaring at the men.
