"Someone is whipped," Ritika teased Virat, "that would be a sweet surprise. Satakshi would love it. But..." She paused, giving a dramatic shrug. "Wouldn't your lunch reservation go to waste then? You know how hard it is to get a spot at that restaurant. They don't just hand out reservations like candy."
Virat paused, blinking in surprise. "Ah... right," he muttered, scratching the back of his head as he quickly recalculated his plan. He glanced between Ritika and Rohit, and then his grin widened as he leaned forward, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Then you guys go! I mean, you both are newly married; go on a lunch date, spend some quality time together, and you know... have a little romance. Maybe take advantage of this free time before the next match!" He wiggled his eyebrows playfully, waiting for them to speak.
Ritika's cheeks flushed pink at Virat's playful suggestion. She exchanged a look with Rohit, who looked just as taken aback, while his ears reddened.
Ritika cleared her throat awkwardly, her mind raced to come up with a neutral response, but all she could muster was a stammer. "Uh, y-yeah, I mean... lunch... lunch sounds good," she mumbled, fumbling over her words.
Rohit let out an awkward chuckle while giving a major side eye to Virat. "Yeah, Vi... I mean, we're, uh... a little... um... busy -" His words were interrupted by an excited Virat, who wiggled his eyebrows.
"Oh, really? Busy doing what, Ro?" He teased, clearly having too much fun with this.
Rohit sputtered, his words coming out in a rush. "No! It's not like that, Vi! We're not—" He stopped abruptly, realizing how awkward he was making it sound. Then he quickly added, "I mean..Ritika needs to set her things up here..." He glanced at Ritika for backup, but she was no help—her face was buried in her hands, trying to hide her embarrassment.
"Virat," Ritika finally managed to say, "stop... please..." Her voice was barely a whisper, laced with both embarrassment and amusement.
Virat couldn't help but burst into laughter at their reactions, as he leaned back in his chair, enjoying every second of their awkwardness. "Oh man, this is too good!" he chuckled, as he looked between Rohit and Ritika. "You two are killing me here. You guys are so easy to tease! I haven't seen Ro this flustered since... well, actually, ever! I guess marriage really does bring out new sides of people, huh?"
Rohit shot him a glare, which clearly screamed, 'Shut up before I kill you ', but Virat was too busy laughing to notice it, "Vi, I swear, if you don't drop it right now..."
Virat raised his hands in surrender, still grinning. "Alright, alright, no more teasing," he said between chuckles, wiping a fake tear from the corner of his eye.
"But seriously," he added, his tone softening, "go out, enjoy the lunch. I'm not kidding, you guys deserve it. Or else, that reservation I made is gonna get wasted, Bhabi come on na," he leaned forward, his playful expression returning just for a moment.
