As Taehyung walked down the hallway with Jungkook, he felt a whirlwind of emotions churning inside him. The excitement of being paired with Jungkook for the project was exhilarating, but there was also a twinge of panic. "What if I mess this up? What if he thinks I'm not good enough?" The thoughts raced through his mind as they approached their next class.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jungkook asked, glancing at Taehyung with concern in his eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine!" Taehyung replied, forcing a smile despite the nervous energy bubbling within him. "I'm just really excited about the project."

"Me too," Jungkook said, his voice warm. "I think we'll make a great team."

As they walked into the classroom, Jimin, who had been waiting by the door, raised an eyebrow at Taehyung. "So, you and Jungkook, huh?" he teased, a knowing smile playing on his lips.

Taehyung felt his cheeks flush. "Yeah, we're partners for the project," he said, trying to sound casual but failing miserably.

Jimin's expression shifted to one of concern. "You're not getting too carried away, are you?" he asked, his voice lower and more serious. "You know how Jungkook is. He has a reputation, and I just want to make sure you're careful."

"What do you mean?" Taehyung asked, a frown forming on his face.

"I'm just saying," Jimin continued, glancing around to ensure no one was eavesdropping. "The last time you got involved with someone, it ended badly. I just don't want you to get hurt again. Jungkook might seem nice, but he's got a lot of baggage."

Taehyung felt a knot form in his stomach at Jimin's words. He knew his friend meant well, but he couldn't shake the feeling that Jimin was being overly protective. "I know, but this is different," Taehyung insisted, trying to brush off Jimin's concerns. "I mean, we're just working on a project. It doesn't have to be anything more."

Jimin gave him a skeptical look. "Just be careful, okay? I don't want to see you get hurt again. You deserve better than that."

Taehyung nodded, appreciating Jimin's concern, but he also felt a sense of frustration. "Why can't he just let me figure this out on my own?" "I promise I'll be careful. I'm not planning on rushing into anything," Taehyung assured him, hoping to ease Jimin's worries.

"Okay," Jimin replied, but the worry didn't fully leave his eyes. "Just remember to keep your guard up. I'll always have your back."

With that, they moved into the classroom and took their seats, but Taehyung couldn't shake Jimin's warning from his mind. He glanced at Jungkook, who was settling into his chair, looking calm and collected. "What if Jimin is right? What if I get hurt again?" The thought lingered, but it was quickly overshadowed by the excitement of working with Jungkook.

As the teacher began the lesson, Taehyung's focus drifted back to his partner. He couldn't deny that he felt a spark of something special with Jungkook—something that made his heart race and his stomach flutter. Despite the fear of getting hurt, he couldn't help but feel hopeful about their project.

"Maybe this time will be different". Taehyung tried to convince himself. As long as he stayed cautious and aware, he could navigate this new dynamic without falling into old patterns. He just hoped that Jimin would come to understand that, too.

For now, Taehyung was determined to enjoy this opportunity with Jungkook, no matter where it might lead. After all, every great story began with a chance, and maybe, just maybe, this could be the beginning of something beautiful.

As Taehyung sat alone at a table in the cafeteria, he stirred his food absentmindedly, his mind drifting back to the project he was working on with Jungkook. He had hoped to sit with his friend Jimin, but Jimin had rushed off to his judo club, leaving Taehyung to navigate lunch by himself.
