"I am proud to see you taking a stand for your wife. But even if I agree, Arvind will never agree." oh wait, he agreed. That's it.
"For that we depend on you uncle" Raj said from behind before I could reply
"Raj, you are also aware of this" Dad asked surprisingly
"yes uncle, we both are okay with Chavi's decision and I think you are also with us now." he said in a joyous tone
"Well what can I say now, Chavi is my daughter if her happiness is in going there, then I don't have any issues. You kids can always find a way to convince me.", finally after a heavy conversation the mood lightened and the tension in the air was released.
"Uncle, we can find a way to convince you. But when it comes to baba, only you can talk to him"
"Indeed dad, we need you to talk to uncle"
"Ok, you both go back home. Let me talk to Arvind."
Raj and I hugged him in excitement. "Thank you Dad","Thank you Uncle"
"Go go.. Let me find Arvind" he turned and left to find Arvind uncle
"you did it man" Raj said to me in a victorious tone
We got back to Chavi's home. "Sir, everyone is having lunch in the dining room." One of the servants told us. We head to the dining room. "Stop" Raj held my hand and stopped as we were about to reach, "let's head inside with a serious face. I want to see Chavi's reaction"
"No, I won't do that"
"Oh come on man, please." He said with a pleading face.
"Ok. Fine" Raj always has a way to convince me just like baba always has a way to convince uncle.
As we reached there. Aunty and maa were already having lunch. Shikha was still pouring her juice. And chavi was sitting with a no appetite look and full plate in front of her.
Chavi looked at us with questionable expression, we kept our expression dead serious and looked at each other, her expression changed to disappointment. Finally, Raj broke the sadness to a victory smile. She sighed in relief and looked at me. I smiled softly and she mouthed "thank you".
"Raj, Karthik, why are you both standing there. Come on join us for lunch." Savitri aunty pointed at the chair. We both sat down at the table and the servant served us food.

"Where are your fathers". Maa addressed me and Raj with a questionable expression. "they will be late" I replied shortly, it will obviously take long for them to get through such a conversation.
We were almost finish with our lunch. When a servant came in "Mam, we have arranged everyone's luggage. Sir and madam's luggage is on this floor's guest room, shikha madam's luggage is on first floor's guest room and Karthik sir's luggage is on second floor's guest room."
"ok, you can go now" savitri aunty told him. I looked around to find chavi, staring at me. She looked down as I held her gaze. I couldn't help but smile at her shyness.
We were all done and headed out. "we should all go and rest for a while, come Rekha, I'll show you your room" savitri aunty told Maa in a tired tone. The house was completely decorated from inside on occasion of our marriage and puja. It's still left to be done from outside though.
