Meeting the Team

The next day I was in Hiruzen's Office listening to him. "I have found a team that you would work well with. They are your age so I think you'll get along with them." There was a knock on the door and Hiruzen smiled. When the person entered I saw he had gravity defying silver hair as well as a mask over his mouth. "Maxis this is Kakashi Hatake. You will be a part of his squad from this moment on." I wave to Kakashi and he raised his hand. Kakashi had me follow him and I felt nervous. I remember my dad talking about the Copy Cat Ninja when I was younger. Now I'm part of his squad. "So you look familiar." I look at Kakashi. "I was brought here five years ago after my clan was killed." Kakashi nods. "I thought so you killed a couple Anbu." I look at him and he just shrugs. "From the report you were acting in self defense. I don't blame you." I shake my head. "I didn't do anything my friend did." Kakashi looked at me. "I wasn't able to hold him back that's why they died. I wasn't safe and he wanted to protect me." Kakashi just looked at me. "I know how I sound Captain but did the report mention arms?" Kakashi nods. "That's my friend. My friend and his family are contracted to my clan. Those who were able could summon his family but my friend picks his contractor. I am his current summoner." Kakashi nods a little then smiles. "Thank you for enlightening me." I feel my cheeks warm up a bit. "I learned about you from my dad. He told me the few times he came to the Leaf you were always friendly with him. I remember he would tell me he'd try to pick a fight with you." Kakashizs eyes went wide. "Your Kia's son?" I nod and he slapped his forehead. "No wonder you looked familiar. I'm sorry he passed Maxis." I smile a little. "I'll do him proud by working for the Leaf and his battle buddy." I giggle at that and Kakashi chuckles. We arrive outside the Leaf where three other kids my age were waiting. One was a blond boy wearing an orange jacket with blue down the zipper. There was a pink haired girl and an annoyed looking boy with black hair. I played with my bangs watching the silver hair fall back into place. "Your late!" The girl and blond boy yelled at Kakashi then they noticed me. "Who are you!?" The blond got in my face and I blinked a few times. I felt Drog start to move and so I scooted back. "I'm Maxis it's nice to meet you three I'll be joining your team from now on." I smile at them and I noticed only the black haired boy didn't smile back. Drog informed me that he was in incredible pain. I tilted my head then it dawned on me. That's Itachi's brother. Kakashi had them introduce themselves to me and I smile. The Jonin explained that we were going to be taking a survival test. He then showed us bells and told us that we had until lunch time to get one. Once he was ready Kakashi told us to begin and I charged him surprising everyone. I managed to punch Kakashi in the gut and snatched a bell. I see Kakashi fall to his knees clutching his gut. "Sorry! I thought I held back!" Kakashi just groans then stands up and looks at me. "Good job Maxis." I rubbed the back of my head. "Alright you three your turn." I felt bad I didn't mean to hurt him so I go sit under a tree. I watch the others fail and I frown before walking up to Naruto. "Hey would you like some help?" Naruto looked at me and smiled. "No I got this thank you though!" I giggle at his infectious energy before heading to find Sakura. I see she's under genjustu and I break it. "Are you ok?" She looks at me and smiles a little. "Yea do you know where Sasuke is?" I look around before Drog told me and I nod. "Yea I can help find him." I help her up and we go look for Sasuke. I kinda had an idea of what this test was and so far none of them were going to pass. We found Sasuke buried in the ground which caused Sakura to pass out. "Do you need help?" Sasuke looks at me and for a second I see him get mad but strangely it goes away. Sasuke nods stiffly and I put my hands on the ground next to him. "Hold on this is going to feel weird." I crack the ground before Drog pushes him out. I help him up and smiles at him. "What was that?" I look at Sasuke. "I felt something lift me up." I blinked a few times. "I used a Wind Justu to lift you up." Sasuke looked at me before nodding seeming to have bought the lie. They failed to get a bell but Kakashi gave them another chance. I was sitting by a tree when Kakashi shows up. "Sorry about earlier Kakashi. I really didn't mean to hit you so hard." Kakashi waved it off. "You were doing what I said. I saw what you were trying to do even with your own bell." I nod softly. "Dad always taught me to always help those we can. Mom was our lead medic so she also taught me the fundamentals of teamwork since in her words took a village to raise a village." I smile before frowning. I never questioned where mom was when dad and the clan died. "So does that mean you know medical ninjustu?" I nod not wanting tell him about one of Drog's family also taught me ninjustu not known by outsiders. "Yea mom driller into me some basic ones. But they are for replenishing chakra or healing small injuries." Kakashi looked surprised but then nods.
