A book review for Keeper of the Lost Cities

____________________________________________________________

The book is about a girl who finds out she's not who she thinks she is. A boy finds her and shows her the world where she truly belongs and in doing so, she needs to forget almost everything she learned in her home world to fit in with her new world. There everything is different, including the creatures, travel, laws, government and people.

My favourite character in the book would be Keefe, who is a blonde, ice blue eye mischief maker, because he's snarky, funny and a supportive friend. He has two sides to him, one he shows to the public and one he keeps secret to himself or his closest friends. Which is a reason why my favourite part of the book is the chapter when Sophie, the main character, accidentally made acid explode onto Lady Galvin's cape and then had to go to the healing centre and met Keefe on the way.

The characters feel real to a point because they only have a few differences to the real world, but lots of things are the same. The characters are still human with emotions, problems, and discrimination in their world. Which is how the book is relatable, with all the problems in life and handling emotions.

The book really grabbed my attention and made me read all the books in the chapter, also because I wanted to see the Sokeefe ship to sail. It's very interesting, fun and full of adventure and lots of dejected chapters as well as joyful ones. Especially the ending which was a happy one where Sophie finally felt like she belonged.

I would recommend this book series to teenages but adults can read it too. Particularly if you like fantasy, a bit of relationship drama, adventure, and mystery.

5 / 5 Would recommend.
