Something changed drastically in Jungkook after the incident. He became far more protective and possessive of Taehyung, almost to an extreme. At first, Taehyung didn't mind. He understood that Jungkook was probably shaken from what had happened, and he appreciated how much Jungkook cared for him. But as time went on, Jungkook's behavior became increasingly unreasonable.
Jungkook wouldn't let Taehyung walk alone, even when he went to the bathroom at school. He would constantly check Taehyung's phone, getting irritated whenever he saw messages from anyone other than himself. He didn't like Taehyung spending time with anyone, even Jimin and Yoongi, without him being there. Anytime Taehyung spoke to someone for too long, Jungkook would suddenly appear, watching closely as if to ensure Taehyung wasn't being "taken away" from him.
Taehyung, ever the understanding and gentle soul, tried to be patient with Jungkook. He believed that maybe Jungkook just needed time to calm down after everything they had been through. But not everyone shared the same view.
Jimin and Yoongi, who had known Taehyung for years, were beginning to worry. They noticed how Taehyung seemed to be excusing Jungkook's growing possessiveness, but it was clear to them that something wasn't right. They often shared concerned glances whenever Jungkook showed up unexpectedly or refused to leave Taehyung alone for even a second.
"Taehyung," Jimin finally said one day, pulling him aside. "I know you care about Jungkook, but don't you think he's acting a little... much? This isn't healthy."
Yoongi nodded in agreement. "We get that he's been through a lot, but you need your space too. This isn't how relationships should be."
Taehyung, while hesitant, shrugged it off with a small smile. "He's just being protective. I think he's afraid of losing me, that's all."
But deep down, even Taehyung was beginning to sense that Jungkook's behavior was becoming harder to justify.
As Taehyung approached the art classroom, he was suddenly intercepted by Jinwoo. The tension in the air was palpable, but Jinwoo wore an earnest expression on his face.
"Taehyung, wait!" Jinwoo called out, catching up with him. "I just wanted to say I'm really sorry for everything that happened. I didn't mean to get you involved in that mess."
Taehyung paused, surprised by the sudden apology. After a moment of hesitation, he nodded. "It's okay, Jinwoo. I forgive you. I know you didn't intend for any of this to happen."
Before Jinwoo could respond, he caught sight of Jungkook approaching from a distance. Jungkook's eyes were narrowed, and his jaw was clenched, clearly unhappy with the situation.
"Taehyung!" Jungkook shouted, his voice cutting through the air like a knife. He stormed up to them, his body tense with rage. "What are you doing talking to him?"
Jinwoo glanced nervously between the two boys, sensing the escalating tension. "I was just—"
But before Jinwoo could finish, Jungkook pushed him hard against the wall, pinning him there. The unexpected force startled Jinwoo, who gasped as his back hit the cold surface.
"Don't you dare talk to him again," Jungkook growled, his voice low and threatening. His fists were clenched, ready to strike.
"Jungkook, stop!" Taehyung yelled, rushing forward to intervene. He placed a hand on Jungkook's chest, trying to push him back. "You can't do this! Let him go!"
Jungkook hesitated, his eyes still blazing with anger. He could feel Taehyung's hand on him, and it made him falter for a moment. But the protective instinct surged through him, overwhelming his better judgment.
