The evening was filled with wizards, the haunted, magic, and hocus-pocus characters. It was easy for Joe to mix with them. Zee can be excluded, I suppose. He was practically running behind his friend, who was not afraid of getting lost. He was busy having fun, running around like a kid, jumping around the haunted house, and climbing over various decorations. Poor Zee had no time to breathe, but as the evening progressed, their heartbeat became more...like...um...human? We can say, yeah. Sort of.
"How many glasses do you have on already?" Zee asked seeing the empty glasses of cocktails.
"Hmm... This is no match to our heavenly drinks. 'Cause I'm still standing on my two feet." He let out a foolish laugh. He was sober, but he wanted nothing more than to be himself.
"July, are you certain we are okay here? I noticed a few Humans looking at you indistinctly."
"Is that something to be concerned about?" Don't you know who am I? I have a charm that is impossible to resist. Com'on we are here. Have fun, okay? We will see." Joe stood up, taking off his suit jacket to reveal his charm and non-resist physics.
"Again. You never think as far as I do." Zee sighed, looking at the most relaxed angel he knew. Of course. He does not believe he is been friends with him for so long. So, he should have been aware of his personality."
Zee, who had followed his friend after picking up his jacket, was shocked to see Joe being punched in his face. "Woah" that was all he could say.
"Didn't you get a better dress than this? "Just because your daughter calls me She-Devil does not mean you will get me one?" Jane said rolling her eyes.
"Well, not the daughter, but her mother thinks that way, you know?" Zara, dressed in a zombie costume, said.
The black cap with two cat ear hairbands complemented Jane's personality. The black shades on her eyes matched her dress. She carried her charisma not in a cruel way, but as aloof as a devil cat. She ordered a drink and noticed Zara was accompanied by her friends. The smoke, loud music, and heavy drinks were making her sick. She came out from all the buzzing to get fresh air.
Jane was about to go inside when she saw a man slap a woman. Shocked and angry, she approached that man and punched him hard across the face. "Joe Robinson," she murmured.
Joe looked at the girl, clearly angry, as did the girl at Joe. Their eyes met. Finally. In person.
Joe touched his face, feeling the burning sensation from the slap. The burning sensation pales in comparison to the humiliation and pain. He chuckled darkly and took a step forward towards her. Jane's fiery eyes could potentially burn anyone in front of her. So she hated him before for no reason, and now she hates him for a reason. With them in their world, the woman Joe slapped escaped taking the chance.
Joe followed the woman and grabbed her. "Did you get tired of doing your job? Even a Minion has come to Earth to enjoy?"
"I escaped," the demon woman stated, "I just wanted to have fun. You know how our elders don't like all this."
"Oh yeah. Yes, of course, Lady. Joe chuckled. He took a few steps to bridge the gap between them, "But that does not mean you will bully the students."
"Well, need a little correction, bully the bullies. Let me tell you something you already know: the negative energy attracts me. They are evil. And so am I. Nothing wrong with tasting the evilness in them. Besides, I gave light punishment to bullies. They extortion money from the young humans. So I extort money from them. Tit for Tat," the demon said monotonously.
"You should worry about your punishment, Riley," Joe said to the demon who had escaped her probation.
"Here you are. Mr. Joe Robinson" Jane asked who followed Joe. Zee, who had arrived at the scene, was perplexed and inquired, "What is going on?"
