As it was a busy day, I had to wake up until midnight. Suddenly, a spot of light appears on the window. At first, I thought It was my mind playing tricks. My heart pounded, I was keen to discover what lay ahead. I packed my essentials and ventured out into the dark light following the light.

The streets were empty except for the faint light. I felt foreign due to the ghost's quiet. As I followed the faint flickering light, It led me to a rundown old shop. My heart raced as I pushed the door open. I was shocked to see my sister cowering in a corner, tears streaming down her face. Her face was pale with fear. My sister ran away with a guy three months ago. The guy knew that I was a trouble but I hadn't been able to stop it. Now she is broken and frightened.

Her eyes locked into mine. Suddenly, a tall man appeared. His eyes were cold and it gave me a chill ran down my spine. Something about him felt different. My sister subtly clued me something. I was shocked to know that this man wasn't just dangerous. He was a predator lurying girls into horrible reasons. The threat of **sexual harassment** hung heavily in the air.

I approached slowly and stayed calm. I inched closer to my sister and asked her to escape. While distracting the man, I whispered to her, "Run. Now." She hesitated, terror filling her eyes. Just as she escaped, the man's fury erupted. He turned to me. I was frozen with the nameless fear. He took something from his pocket, a blade flashing in his hand. Fear was sealed into my chest. Before I could defend myself he lunged. I strolled backwards with tremulous hands.

Pain shot through my body and my body began to fail. It was unbearable. Darkness began to take over. I smiled through the agony knowing that she was okay. As darkness closed in, I understood I wouldn’t survive. My sacrifice had saved her from the worst, and that was enough.

------- She lived, Because I stood behind her.
