Stepping into the UA hallways felt like walking into a completely different world. Y/N’s eyes darted around as she followed the teacher leading her to Class 1-A. This was it—the beginning of her mission. But no matter how much she prepared, the tension still buzzed under her skin like static. Every hero-in-training that passed her in the hallway was a reminder of the world she had been forced into.
The teacher, Aizawa Shota, a man with heavy bags under his eyes and a scarf wrapped around his neck, looked just as exhausted as she felt. He gave her a brief glance, his tone as flat as a dry piece of toast.
“This is where you’ll be spending your time,” Aizawa said, pausing at the door to Class 1-A. “Try not to cause trouble.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Trouble? Me? Never.”
He didn’t respond, just gave her a side glance, like he already expected her to be a handful. Not that she cared. Trouble was inevitable when you were walking into enemy territory with a ticking time bomb inside you.
The door slid open, and Y/N stepped in, eyes sweeping across the classroom. Twenty faces turned toward her, some curious, others indifferent. The infamous Class 1-A. The future heroes of Japan.
The noise of the classroom hit her like a wall—students talking, chairs scraping, and the dull roar of chatter filling the space. She could already feel the eyes on her, some curious, others dismissive. It was always the same when you were the new kid. Everyone watching, judging.
But she wasn’t here to make friends.
She had been briefed on who to expect—Midoriya Izuku, Uraraka Ochako, Todoroki Shoto, and then there was Bakugo Katsuki. The explosive one. Y/N’s lips twitched at the thought of him. His file had been full of incidents: rage issues, aggressive tendencies, and a fierce rivalry with Midoriya. She hadn’t even met him yet, and she already felt the headache forming.
As she stood at the front of the classroom, Aizawa introduced her, his voice as disinterested as ever. "This is Fujita Y/N, our new transfer student. She’ll be joining Class 1-A from today. Treat her like one of your own."
Y/N scanned the room, meeting the gazes of her new classmates. Some looked curious, some friendly, but there was one pair of eyes that narrowed immediately—Bakugo Katsuki. He was seated near the back, arms crossed, his entire posture radiating irritation. She didn’t need to guess why. Just by existing, she had probably thrown off whatever power dynamic he liked to keep around here.
As she walked toward her assigned seat, she could feel his eyes burning into her. The second she sat down, the fuse was lit.
"Oi, new girl," Bakugo barked, his voice loud enough to turn heads. "You got a problem or something?"
Y/N didn’t even glance in his direction. "Not at all," she replied, casually opening her notebook. "Though you seem to have one, judging by all the yelling."
Bakugo shot up from his seat, the chair scraping violently against the floor. He stomped over to her, ignoring the curious looks from the others. "What was that?"
Y/N sighed, turning her head to look up at him, her expression completely unfazed. "Wow, you’re even louder up close. Does yelling make you feel more important, or are you just mad that someone in this school isn’t kissing your ass like everyone else?"
There was a moment of stunned silence, followed by a few muffled snickers from around the classroom. Bakugo’s eyes narrowed into slits, and his fists clenched at his sides, tiny sparks of his quirk flaring at his fingertips.
"You wanna die?" he growled, leaning in closer, his voice low and threatening.
Y/N didn’t flinch, her gaze steady and unimpressed. "Not really. But if I did, I’m sure there’d be more efficient ways than listening to you rant. Do you treat all the new students this way, or am I just lucky?"
"That’s enough, both of you," **Aizawa**’s voice cut through the tension, his gaze barely lifting from his desk. "Bakugo, sit down. Fujita, you’re here to learn, not provoke your classmates."
Y/N gave a mock salute. "Yes, sensei."
Bakugo, however, wasn’t ready to let it go. He glared down at her, his pride clearly bruised. "You better watch yourself," he spat. "You don’t know who you’re dealing with."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, her lips quirking into a small, amused smile. "Right. Because I’ve never met an angry guy with an inferiority complex before."
The room was dead silent. Bakugo’s fists tightened, and for a second, Y/N thought he might actually throw a punch. But then, to her surprise, he turned and stormed back to his seat, muttering curses under his breath.
As soon as he sat down, the tension broke, and the classroom erupted in hushed whispers. Y/N could feel the eyes on her again, but this time, there was a different energy—curiosity mixed with disbelief. She had just stood toe-to-toe with **Bakugo Katsuki** and lived to tell the tale. That wasn’t something that happened often.

The rest of the morning passed in a blur. Lessons were straightforward, and Y/N kept her head down, taking in every detail of **UA**’s teaching methods. But every now and then, she’d catch Bakugo glaring at her from across the room, clearly not over their earlier exchange. She smirked to herself. This was going to be fun.
During lunch, Y/N found herself alone, which suited her just fine. She wasn’t here to make friends, after all. But of course, the peace didn’t last long.
"Hey, Fujita, right?" a voice called from behind her. She turned to see **Kirishima Eijiro** walking up, his usual bright smile in place. Beside him was **Midoriya**, looking awkward as ever.
"That’s me," Y/N replied, leaning back in her seat.
Kirishima scratched the back of his head, clearly trying to break the ice. "That was… pretty intense earlier. You know, with Bakugo and all."
Midoriya nodded, though he looked more nervous than anything. "Yeah, um, Bakugo can be… difficult sometimes. But he’s not a bad person. He’s just—"
"Explosive?" Y/N finished for him, raising an eyebrow.
Midoriya chuckled nervously. "Well, yeah. Something like that."
Kirishima laughed, clapping Midoriya on the back. "Don’t worry about it too much! Bakugo’s like that with everyone. You handled it better than most, though. Gotta say, I’m impressed."
Y/N shrugged, glancing over at the far end of the cafeteria, where Bakugo sat, fuming by himself. "He’s got a lot of bark, but I’m not too worried. Besides, I’m sure he’s just not used to someone talking back to him."
Midoriya shifted uncomfortably. "That’s… probably true."
Kirishima grinned. "Well, if you ever need a break from all that tension, feel free to hang with us. We’ve got a pretty chill group."
Y/N tilted her head, considering the offer. On one hand, staying away from others would make her job easier. On the other hand, blending in meant building relationships, no matter how superficial. Plus, having a few allies might help her keep an eye on **Midoriya**, who was high on her list of targets.
"I’ll think about it," she said, flashing them a quick smile. "But thanks for the offer."

By the end of the day, Y/N’s head was spinning from all the information she’d absorbed. From the quirks of her classmates to the layout of the school, she was slowly piecing together how **UA** operated from the inside. And while Bakugo was definitely a wildcard, she knew how to handle people like him—angry, insecure, and always needing to prove something.
As she packed up her things and prepared to leave, she felt a presence behind her. Turning around, she found Bakugo standing there, his expression still smoldering with barely contained fury.
"Don’t think for a second this is over," he hissed, his red eyes locking onto hers. "I don’t care who you are or where you came from. If you get in my way, I’ll crush you."
Y/N met his gaze, unfazed. "If you spent half as much time focusing on your studies as you do threatening people, you might actually get somewhere." She slung her bag over her shoulder and smirked. "But thanks for the warning, Bakugo. Really."
With that, she walked past him, leaving him seething in her wake. She didn’t look back.
