It was October 20th, 2009, and a special day had arrived at Yesung and Ryeowook's mansion, The Tranquil Nest. Today, they were celebrating their son Kim Sung Su's first birthday. The large mansion was buzzing with activity as preparations were being made for the grand event. Friends, family, and members of both Super Junior and TVXQ were invited to join the festivities. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and love, as Sung Su was surrounded by everyone who cared for him.
Yesung had already arranged for the butler, Mr. Hwang Tae-joon, to oversee the setup of the party hall. The decorations were perfect, with soft blue and white tones filling the room, along with a grand birthday cake that awaited the birthday boy. Meanwhile, Ryeowook was with their son, teaching him new words and preparing him for the special day ahead.

The Morning Routine
Ryeowook woke up early, as usual, and after his morning shower, he quickly checked in on Sung Su. The one-year-old was already sitting in his crib, babbling happily to himself. His big eyes lit up when he saw his eomeoni approach.

"성수야, 오늘 네 생일이야! (Sung Su, today is your birthday!)," Ryeowook cooed, scooping him up from the crib.
Sung Su, at one year old, had become an active little boy. He could pull himself up to stand, take a few steps while holding onto furniture, and was starting to say simple words like "엄마 (eomma)" and "아빠 (appa)." His movements were more coordinated now, and he was starting to mimic actions and sounds, much to his parents' delight.
"윤, 일어나! 성수 생일 준비해야지. (Woon, wake up! We need to get ready for Sung Su's birthday.)," Ryeowook called out to Yesung as he walked into the bedroom carrying their son.
Yesung, still half asleep, smiled when he saw his family. "응, 자기야. 나도 일어날게. (Yes, Baby. I'm getting up.)," he said with a yawn before getting out of bed and stretching.
