In the depths of space, a lone planet could be seen in the midst of the sea of stars, the planet having a lone ring of rocks and dust floating around the world, one that looks to be calm and peaceful for the moment. All seems to be pleasant and serene in the universe.
But then, a cataclysmic event occurs as a tremendous explosion erupts from within and outside of the planet, the very world now falling apart in the process as it's very structure began to collapse and fall apart, being split apart by the sheer power and force of the blast. It was beyond apocalyptic to bear witness to such an event that had just happened.
As it did so, what looks to be a chunk of space rock can be seen hurtling away from the destruction of the planet, an ominous red glow coming from within the space rock as it hurtles through the cosmos and goes on at such a distance away. As it did so, it now began to be drawn into what was a wormhole. It flew into the wormhole and it now disappeared from the reality it was formed within, heading forth to another universe...

At an Antarctic research base, all seems to be quiet and such at the facility. Two individuals, who go by the names of Ben and Jerry, have been tasked to keep an eye out for any foreign objects or suspicious activity in Earth's atmosphere and orbit. But over the last 24 or so months since they've been stationed here, nothing has ever happened. Aside from the occasional airdrop of the USAF every 4 months, nothing has happened.
Ben, who's been just checking his emails and such, was kicking back in his chair as he plays about with a paddleball. As he sat there, the computer next to him began to flash and beep, the satellite scanners now picking up on something. This got Ben's attention as he sat up. "Hey, Jerry, you might wanna check this one out. Palomar satellite just picked it up." He called to his associate. "Looks like some type of UFO, and it's headin' down this way." He added in next.
Ben's associate, Jerry, was over by a coffee maker, could just sigh and roll his eyes. "How many times do I have to tell you this? UFO's don't exist, and we're never gonna see..."
Ben now takes a look at the scans, his eyes widening at what he's seeing. "Wow, its energy signiture is massive. There's so much energy coming from this, it could power the city the size of New York combined with Abu Dhabi." He said in amazement.
Jerry now began to panic. "Holy Cheez-Its! What do we do? No one told us what to do! The only reason I took this job you never have to do anything!" He complained.
Ben hushes him to calm him down. "Jerry, stop it. Let me caculate its impact point." He types in on the main computer before him, seeing where this 'U.F.O' could be heading off to. "Looks like its impact point is..." Ben now looks at the screen before looking back at Jerry. "It's heading for the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois." He informed.
Jerry immediately picks up a red telephone as he made the call. "Supernova, this is Red Dwarf. We actually have one! Code Nimoy! I repeat, Code Nimoy!" He called at once.
