FIRST ENCOUNTER (short story)

SAVIOR

Star would rub their eyes as they slowly got out of bed, after a hard night of being unable to sleep, they got at least a solid 3 hours, until they realized this was not their bedroom, they looked around taking in their surroundings, it seemed to be a black room with static seeping out from the corners like it had a bad paint-job, one of the walls lined with tv's.

"What on earth..?" Star mumbled, as the tv's started flashing static, as a man with blonde hair, red attire, yellow and pink accents, and a weird static orb surrounding him appeared on the screen, the tv's on the side of the wall flashed yellow red and pink, like a border of sorts."Ah, hello! You are Star..Right?" The man said, as he tapped a microphone which was orbiting him. "Yes.? Who are you? What is this place?" Star yelled looking for answers. "Ah, I'd be Host! You've probably seen me on some TV of sorts, you see i'm in a little er, predicament, you could say." He said glaring to the side, "And..if I'm correct, your whole jig is helping people right?" He said, readjusting the camera which was projecting him onto the TV, "Please forgive me for the not so cozy atmosphere, I tried my hardest."

"Now I may or not..Possibly, be trapped here, and it would be of my upmost gratitude, if you could help a TV-Host out." Host asked, "Huh..Give me a moment I just woke up." Star said rubbing their eyes, "Did you...listen to anything I just said." Host said bluntly, "Yeah yeah..keep going." Star murmured. "So..can you help me out of here? I know you have the whole universal power thing." Host continued on, "I was once just as powerful as you, partially more!" He said with a chuckle, "I promise to pay you back someday."

"Are you sure you wont die through the multiversal travel? You are..in the corner..of the UNIVERSE." Star said concerningly. "Oh I've seen worse, I can handle it." He said brushing off her worry. "Alright, er, hold steady, or something." Star would close her eyes as all of a sudden a portal would appear behind Host, "Be VERY CAREFUL in there, I wouldn't want you losing your footing and slipping out, actually wait, hold on." Star would make a portal of her own and slide through, appearing where Host was.

She'd snatch his wrist and bring him along with her, as they floated through the tunnel that was the portal, it felt like they were being dragged through water practically, reflections of them and other beings appearing through different universes they caught glimpses of in the portal.

"Wowww..I haven't been able to do this in ages.." Host said enamored at the sight. "Stay close, we don't want you slipping somewhere." Time felt like it had slow when they went into it, until suddenly they popped out the other side.

They had made it to the room where the TV'S were stacked against the wall, suddenly everything in the room flashed static, and they had returned to Star's room. "Finally! The real world!" Host called out, "I think I'll stay here a while." Host said as he floated around the room, "You better be paying rent." Star blurted out. "Well no promises." Host retorted back.
