(A/N) Quick note. Hi, I'm alive, I swear. Also , I really want to move this story along, and the real drama begins later down the road in the show. From now on, I'll be giving the certain episode(s) that each chapter takes place (if applicable) simply so we can all keep up with when stuff happens. Recaps or important details will be given when needed! For example, this one is around S1 Ep15.
So Rory is still upset, but we are finally starting to talk again. It turns out that Tristan has been bullying her, which really bothers me. The fact that he attempted to manipulate me in order to make my own sister jealous still angers me. However, seeing the nice bruise on his face does bring a small smirk to my face. It's not that I condone violence, but in this case, it feels like a small form of justice for the way he has treated Rory and me.
Now, I'm sitting on the sofa with my sketchbook attempting to capture the essence of a person. The sound of the front door slamming open catches me off guard.
"Chrissy! " Rory's voice echoes through the room full of excitement and surprise.
"Good lord, did you put a hole in the wall? " I tease glancing over my shoulder at the commotion behind me. I turned to see my sister Chrissy storming in, followed by our dad, whom we hadn't seen in ages.
"Dad! " I exclaim, jumping off the couch to embrace him in a tight hug, feeling a rush of emotions at his unexpected arrival.
"What are you doing here? Did someone die? " I asked a hint of sarcasm in my voice, which made him laugh.
"I need a death in the family to come see my girls? " He replied with a smile, pulling us both into a tight hug. Despite the teasing, I couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at seeing our dad.
"I thought we could show dad around Stars Hollow," Rory chimed in her eyes bright with excitement. It was a rare occasion for our dad to visit without a specific reason, so we wanted to make the most of it.
---------------------------------------------------------
So Dad is staying with us, and I can tell mom isn't happy about it at all. She's got enough going on with the professor thing and the business school stuff and work. The woman is stressed.
Still, Rory, Christopher, and I sat around the TV watching movies full Gilmore style. I was glad to have him here, but there's no way I'm getting my hopes up that he'll stay.
Ring ring ring
"No one wants to get that? Anyone?" Said my mom as she slowly walked to grab the phone. Yeah, no, we weren't moving
"Chrissy, phone,"
"Who is it?"
"Answer and find out,"
"If it's Shane, just tell her I'll call her later,"
"Just get the phone,"
"But I'm comfy,"
"What if it's a boy?"
"Stop raising your eyebrows like that,"
"I'll stop when you answer the phone,"
I sighed, leaving my comfy spot on the couch to pick up the phone.
"This is Chrissy," I said.
"Hey, it's Daniel," I smiled slightly, and I noticed Dad walk into the kitchen.
"Hey, what's up?"
"What are you doing friday?" I tilted my head to the side thinking. Rorys head popped up from around the couch and looked at me quizically.
