It was a cold and crisp December 23rd, 2010, and the SHINee dorm was quiet that morning. Everyone had been busy with schedules as the year was wrapping up, but today was one of those rare moments where they had time for themselves. Onew, however, wasn't feeling the warmth of the holidays. There was something heavy weighing on his mind, something he had been keeping to himself for a few days.

Sitting on his bed, Onew quietly stared at a note in his hand—an ugly, threatening letter sent by a hater. His usually calm and collected demeanor was shattered by the cruel words. His chest tightened with anxiety, and before he knew it, his eyes welled up with tears. He hadn't shown this side to anyone, not even to Jonghyun, his boyfriend of almost a year. But today, it was too much to handle alone.

After a moment of hesitation, Onew made up his mind. He stood up and went to Jonghyun's room, knocking softly on the door.
"종현아, 나... 얘기 좀 할 수 있을까? (Jonghyun, can I talk to you?)" Onew's voice was small, wavering with emotion.
Jonghyun, always quick to respond, opened the door immediately, concern already written on his face. "토끼, 무슨 일이야? (Rabbit, what's wrong?)" Jonghyun asked, pulling Onew inside and closing the door behind them.
Without a word, Onew handed him the crumpled note, his eyes filled with unshed tears. He couldn't speak as he buried his face into Jonghyun's chest, letting the tears finally fall.
