AUTHORS POV: (3 years ago)

Shivaay walked into the college campus with his friends, a bright smile on his face.

"Aur Shivaay, aaj toh tu bada khush lag raha hai! Kya baat hai?" one of his classmates teased, noticing the unusual glow in his demeanor.

[Shivaay, you look so happy today ! What's the matter?]

"Kuch nahi, aaj teri bhabhi ko ghumane le ja raha hu," Shivaay replied with a grin, his heart light at the thought of spending time with Aarvi. But before he could say more, another friend ran towards them, breathless and pale, like he had just seen something unthinkable.

[Nothing, I'm taking your bhabhi out today.]

"Wo... wo, Aarvi bhabhi... cafeteria..." he stammered, unable to finish the sentence.

Shivaay's heart stopped, and without thinking, he sprinted toward the cafeteria. The air felt heavy, his mind racing with all the worst possibilities.

"Aarvi!" he called out the moment he entered, but what he saw in front of him ripped his world apart. Aarvi... his Aarvi, was in the arms of another guy, holding him like he was her world. The cafeteria, the noise, everything blurred. His vision narrowed to just them—her smile, the way she held him, as if he were her everything.

Shivaay's heart shattered into a million pieces. He stumbled forward and yanked her out of the embrace. "Aarvi... what is this? Please tell me this is some kind of mistake. I know it's just a misunderstanding... right?" His voice cracked, his eyes pleading as he clung to hope.

Aarvi's face went pale, guilt clouding her eyes. Her lips trembled as she tried to speak, but when she finally did, her words were sharp as knives. "It's not a misunderstanding, Shivaay," she stammered, barely holding herself together. "Mujhe koi aur pasand aagaya hai."

[I like someone else.]

Shivaay took a step back, like he had been physically hit. "Aarvi... please, don't do this," he whispered, tears already forming in his eyes. His voice was shaking, desperate, and broken. He didn't care about anything anymore, not the people watching, not his pride, just her.

"Mujhe maaf kar do, Shivaay. Humara rasta yahi tak tha... hum dono ke liye yeh sahi hai." She was stammering in between...but still completed her sentence.

[Forgive me, Shivaay. But our journey ends here....this is good for both of us.]

Shivaay stared at her in disbelief, his hands shaking as his world crumbled around him. His heart screamed, but no words came out. "Aarvi... aise kaise? Tum mujhe kyun chhod ke ja rahi ho? Main... main bina tumhare kaise rahunga?" His voice broke, his soul felt hollow, like he was on the verge of falling apart completely.

[Aarvi..how can you do this? How can you leave me? How will I stay without you?]

Aarvi stepped back, her tears finally spilling, but her resolve held strong. She had to do this—for him and for her. "Shivaay... kuch rishte sirf yaadon mein hi ache lagte hain. Tumhe mere bina jeena hoga. Humara waqt khatam ho chuka hai." Her words were cold and final, but her heart broke with each one.

[Shivaay...some relations are good for memories only. You have to leave without me. Our time ends here.]

Shivaay watched helplessly as she turned her back on him, each step she took away from him felt like a dagger plunging into his heart. He wanted to scream, to beg her to stay, but he couldn't. His legs gave out, and he collapsed onto his knees, the ring still clutched in his trembling fist. Tears poured from his eyes, his body shaking uncontrollably.

"Aarvi... mat jao. Tumhare bina... main kuch bhi nahi hoon," he whispered, his voice barely audible as it cracked with despair.

[Aarvi...please don't go. I am nothing...without you.]

But she didn't look back. She walked away, and with her, she took his heart, his dreams, everything he had ever loved.

Just before she disappeared from his view, Aarvi stopped. She turned slightly, her face emotionless, and then, without warning, she threw the ring at him. It hit his chest and clattered to the floor, breaking the last bit of his hope.

[Aarvi tune aisa kyu kiya✋🏻😭💔]

Shivaay jolted awake, heart racing, as the remnants of his haunting dream clung to his mind. He found himself sitting at his desk in his office, his hands gripping the armrests of his chair, his breathing uneven. He blinked, trying to shake off the lingering pain from the dream that felt too real.

[Kyu chauka dala na😌✋🏻]

In front of him stood his right-hand man, who was watching him with concern.

"Sir, I came to inform you that we have a meeting at 11 with Rashmi Enterprises," the man said cautiously, noting Shivaay's unsettled state.

[Rashmi Enterprises...!! Ghanti baji??😏😏]

Shivaay nodded slowly, rubbing his temples as if trying to clear his head. "Hmm... I know. Go away. I'll be there," he replied in a low voice, trying to mask the turmoil still raging inside him.

The man hesitated for a moment, then quietly left the room, closing the door behind him. The room fell into a suffocating silence, and Shivaay exhaled sharply, his hands shaking slightly. He leaned forward, opening the drawer of his desk, and pulled out a small bottle of pills. Without hesitation, he unscrewed the cap, popped one pill into his mouth, and swallowed it dry.

[Isko bhi Anxiety attacks 💔😭]

He closed his eyes, leaning back in his chair, hoping the pill would calm the storm inside him. The same dream, the same agony—Aarvi's face, her words, her walking away—haunted him every time he closed his eyes.

Shivaay ran a hand through his hair, the weight of it all crushing him. He had built an empire, controlled a world full of power, but no matter how strong he appeared on the outside, the hollow feeling in his chest never left.
