Fall To Pieces

The sound of the front door slamming shut echoed throughout the silence of the night, magnified by the tense atmosphere and anger radiating from both men. It was Sharrkan who stalked from the house, walking down the cracked path and down the street without a single glance back at the now distraught redhead standing in the doorway of thier shared home, watching with tear filled eyes as Sharrkan disappeared into the night.

As he stalked down the street Sharrkan didn't look back. He refused to give in and turn around, he just couldn't not do that right now. How could he go back into that house when the mere sight of Spartos made his anger rise and his blood boil? He couldn't go back. He wouldn't go back, not now, maybe not ever. It was just too much to take, knowing that his own boyfriend... the love of his life, the only person he had ever cared for this strongly and the one he had been about to propose too... had done the unthinkable and slept with another.

It was just too much. He couldn't handle it. He needed to get away, to just leave and clear his head or something... he didn't know. He just, he didn't know anymore. What point was there to anything now that his whole reason for living had done such a terrible thing, and with his Ex-boyfiend no less. That was the wrost part- knowing that Spartos had cheated on him with Hakuryuu of all people...

He shouldn't have been so surpirsed that it was Hakuryuu. Sharrkan was well aware that the two had been dating just a few years ago before thier breakup, before Spartos had confessed his love to Sharrkan. That was what hurt the most- knowing that Spartos had been the one to not only make the first move, but to also be the one to cheat.

It was heartbreaking and it was horrible. Sharrkan felt sick to his stomach just thinking about it and he was just so mad. At Hakuryuu, at Spartos, even at himself. He was angry and hurting and he just needed to let it out.

He hadn't meant to lash out like that... never in all his years had he ever thought that he would ever strike Spartos, even as angry as he was, he neevr thought he would actually do it. But he had and that had just made everything so much worse than it already was.

Sure maybe Spartos had deserved it. He had cheated on him after all and then kept it a secret for weeks until he finally cracked. But Sharrkan just couldn't believe he had done it, it made him sick to his stomach. He was ashamed of himself. How could he do such a thing? No matter how much he felt that Spartos deserved it, no matter how angry he was, it was no excuse for striking the one person he loved more than anything in the world.

It just wasn't okay.

So he left. He ran and he would stay away until he felt he could look at Spartos without feeling shame or rage. It would he hard... god would it be hard, but he would do it becuase he was still so angry and hurt and he just didn't know what else to do anymore.

Fishing his phone from his back pocket the white haired male scrolled through his contacts until he came upon Masrur's number; pulling up the SMS option and typing a quick text to his childhood friend, asking if he could stay for a few days. The reply came swiftly and Sharrkan couldn't help but shake his head in amusement at the simple one word reply from his friend.

Putting his phone away Sharrkan stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jacket and turned down the street, heading to Masrur's house.

--------

Back at thier home Spartos was a sitting sullenly on the floor of the entryway; his back pressed against the front door, knees pulled tightly against his chest and his face buried in his arms, body wracking with sobs as he cried.
