Context: Wouldn’t you like to know, Weatherboy?

Warnings: A swear I guess? I wouldn’t consider that needing a warning— It's literally a word— but I know some of y'all don’t like swears so…yeah.

…I’m not late. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Okay, but in all actuality, my life has been one thing after another. If not work, health issues. If not those, my social life. If not that, writer's block. SO! I'm not sure how many I will be able to do, but I will do the few I can.

The area was still as the group of two stared at the lone Steve. The uncomfortable feeling of blood slowly drying stuck to Sabre's and Dark's hands, yet the feeling was barely noticeable as adrenaline began to flow. The cause of the blood tucked under Dark's arm. A wild sheep they slaughtered for food and its wool. Yet even the weight of the animal went unnoticed as their attention solely focused on the Steve in front of them.

On the other side of the small area they found themselves in, stood Indigo Leader. Their regal clothes were out of place in the darkening forest they found themselves in, but it was also the clothing that was the main key that helped Sabre tell it was Indigo rather than Blue or Violet. With color being a thing that he couldn’t see anymore, colors close on the color wheel were hard to distinguish as of yet. Too many times had Sabre viewed Steves from afar, thinking they were one color but was another.

The two would have assumed this meeting was a happenstance, but the accomplished light that sparked in Indigo's eyes suggested it wasn't. It didn’t bode well from either of them, both of their minds flicking to the last time a Chromatic sought their group out. Sabre’s hand found air once more as he reached from the Dark Crystal. Even with the knowledge that he was fused with it, he still had the habit of reaching for it off and on.

Slowly, their surroundings were the only thing that  began to make a noise for several seconds. Animals scared by the sudden onslaught of harsh lightning gained their confidence back slowly; The forest slowly filled with the sounds once more as more and more confidence was found. If it wasn’t the animals around making noise, it was a cold wind blowing through the trees, ruffling the leaves. Several of them falling off their respective trees, floating to the ground in an array of reds, oranges, yellow, brown and greens. Each leaf covering the ground just a tad, adding to the colorful canvas that covered the ground. Although-

One- It made all three of them stand out even more.

And two- Sabre couldn’t see color anyone.

A few more seconds passed before Dark found Sabre's hand, the air growing heavy with energy as they prepared to teleport away. “Wait!” Indigo yelped, raising a hand as he took a step closer. He was too far to stop them, but the sudden panic had their attention.

Dark let go of the energy, the unfinished teleport fading away. He didn't let go of Sabre's hand however, just in case.

Indigo seemed to let out an uneven sigh once they realized that the two of them were going to hear him out. “I-” Indigo shifted side to side. The leaves crunching with the weight shifting. “Please, I just want to talk…that's all.”

Dark and Sabre shared a look. They were expecting to be back soon, and they really didn't need Shadow arriving because he was concerned and seeing a Chromatic with them. Last time that happened, Sabre was kidnapped and fused with the Dark Crystal. Both of them know Shadow well enough to know he wouldn't think, just attack.

They looked at Indigo, who seemed to be collecting more and more anxiety as the time passed. “Tomorrow.” Sabre's voice was quiet but steady.

“Same time.” Dark finished.
