Short 6: Surge Out

One afternoon in the Goetia Mansion, Blitz is in the backyard as he plays a game with Mimmy. The two are playing catch. Blitz throws the ball and Mimmy catches it.

Mimmy calls out, "Here it comes, daddy!" and throws the ball.

Blitz soon catches the ball and says, "Nice throw, Mimmy!"

"Thanks," Mimmy says.

Suddenly, Blitz's hands begin to glow and cause him to be lifted into the air.

"Woah!" Blitz yelps.

"Daddy, you're flying again!" Mimmy calls out.

"Yeah, but I didn't mean to fly up like that, or use my levitation magic," Blitz calls out.

Blitz tries to cancel his magic, but instead, creates multiple balls of lights that shine around the area.

"What's going on?!" Blitz cries out.

In the palace, Octavia is in her room, listening to music on her phone. Suddenly, her bed, furniture and all her stuff begin to levitate.

"What the fuck?!" Octavia exclaims.

Then she drops her phone when electrical sparks begin seeping out of it.

"What the hell is going on?" Octavia exclaims.

At another part of the mansion, Stolas is busy writing some documents and other paperwork for his royal duties. Then everything else begins to levitate as well.

"What in the..." Stolas questions in shock.

Then the candles suddenly ignited and let out a large amount of flames from small candles.

Suddenly, Blitz's magic begins emitting electricity and turns into a ball of lightning. Then Blitz begins flying around, bumping the wall, the ground, trees, statues. Blitz is practically bouncing all over the place like a lightning ball.

Blitz screams, "How do I stop this!"

Then, the table, some statues, and even potted plants begin to levitate all over. Even the water of the pool rises up from and circles around all over the place. Blitz suddenly ignites fire from his body and turns him into a fireball and spreads across the place, starting small fires.

Then Blitz ends up getting the pool water poured all over him, and making him crash to the ground. The good news is that the spell has stopped, everything is placed on the ground, and Blitz is no longer a fireball. Bad news, Blitz is now drenched and coughing out the water from his mouth. Not to mention feeling pain on his back.

Back in the palace, all of Octavia's things land on the floor with a big thud. When her bed lands on the ground, Octavia ends up falling off the bed and lands with a thud.

Octavia sits up and rubs her head, "Ow!"

In Stolas' study, everything lands on the ground as well and the candle lights have been put out.

"What in Hell just happened?" Stolas asks.

Back outside, Blitz tries to sit up, but keeps coughing out the water from his mouth and feels pain on his back after the fall.

"Oh no! Daddy!" Mimmy cries out and runs to him.

She kneels down and asks, "Are you okay, daddy?"

Blitz sits up as he finishes coughing out the water.

He then answers, "I'm okay. Just drenched," and coughs out the water, "But what was that all about?"

And just then, Stolas and Octavia rushed out of the palace.

"Are you guys alright? Everything started floating around in the house all of the sudden," Octavia asks, still shocked by what happened.

"And the electronics were going on and off and letting out electricity," Stolas adds, "Not to mention the stove and my candles let out a large amount of flames."

Seeing Blitz wet and a bit uneasy, Stolas sits next to him and asks in concern, "Blitz, you're soaked. Are you okay? What happened?"

"I... I don't know... my powers just got a bit crazy all of the sudden," Blitz says.

And rubs his back, "Ow, and I think I hurt my back when I fell and the water was poured all over me."

"Wait, the magic stuff happened in the palace was you?" Octavia asks, shocked.

"Um yeah, sorry about that. I... I have no idea how or why it happened..." Blitz says, confused.

Stolas picks Blitz up, "I might have an idea as to why, but first, let's get you a change of clothes and get you to bed."

A little later...

After getting Blitz a change of clothes, and checking for any injuries, Blitz is now sitting on the bed with Octavia and Mimmy.

Stolas explains his theory, "It's possible that even though you're getting better control of your magic, you might experience magical surges or inability to control your magic. As a result, your powers let out in an unexpected way. There's also a possibility that your powers and body is once again going through changes and mutating, and you might gain new powers." Then he scratches the tip of his beak, "Still, I didn't expect it to be this powerful."

"I'm sure we'll figure it out, eventually," Blitz says. He lets out a sigh, "Still, maybe we should, I don't know... maybe it's about time we let the King of Hell and the rest of then Sins know about it."

"I suppose you're right, but I want you to be more stable while meeting them. I know how difficult things have been for you, and I don't want you to stress even more than you need to," Stolas says, concerned.

"I understand, but... we can't keep this hidden forever, and we might actually need help to understand these abilities and the effects the serum did," Blitz says.

Octavia sighs and says, "Dad, maybe it wouldn't hurt to let them know. And we also know that the Goeita will learn about your engagement to Blitz."

Stolas sighs, "You're right. But we must do this one thing at a time. I will have to share my marriage with the Goetia, and tell the Sins and Lucifer about Blitz's powers and what Toxbane has done to him."

Stolas sits next to Blitz, "I'm sorry this will be more stressful for you."

Blitz hugs Stolas and says, "Well, it will be a matter of time before they learn the truth. And I think it's time we tell them about it."

"And I'll be there for you, no matter what happens," Stolas says.

The two hug and snuggle to each other with smiles.
