RAIN IN MY HEART
- Frank Sinatra -

I can hear the sound
of rain in my heart,
of the tears that I hide
And it tears me apart,
'cause I keep them inside

BUCKY FOLLOWED BEHIND Cameron as they went down the stairs and towards the living room of the big house. The whole time he kept looking around. If this house was real, the city was real...Is my daughter real?

"She is", suddenly Cameron said, being able to hear what he was thinking. They had now reached the living room and she was standing in front of the big window, looking out watching as the boarder of the Hex slowly reached them.

Bucky sighed softly and slowly walked to her. Once he reached her he stopped in front of her, searching her eyes, waiting for her to continue speaking.

"I never knew but I've always had these powers. Ever since I was born. Apparently I'm this Iris Sorceress, and I honestly don't really know what it means. But it all makes sense now, all those times at Hydra when the wiping machine didn't work on me. All those times that I should have died... It was always because of my powers", she explained still looking out the window and after sighing she continued.

"So, yes. Rebecca is real, like everything else. But as long as she keeps existing, also the Hex has to exist and I have to destroy this reality I created", she finished, finally looking back up in his ocean blue eyes.

"We don't blame you for this. I don't blame you", he softly told her after a small silence.

"I know, but I still did it", she replied with a sad smile. At this Bucky sighed softly before speaking up again.

"What will happen now?", he asked her, his eyes moving to the boarder of the Hex that got closer and closer each passing second.

"Once the Hex will be completely destroyed every person I brought in this reality will be back to their own homes and this place will go back to being a destroyed battlefield. You will find yourself back with the others on the field and it'll be like nothing ever happened", Cameron explained as she kept looking up at him.

"What about you?", he then asked.

"Don't worry about me, I'll find you", she told him with a soft smile before looking down.

A small silence settled upon them. Bucky slowly lifted his hand and softly placed it on her cheek. He slowly lifted her head up to look at him and once her brown eyes locked with his blue ones, he spoke up.

"I love you, Cameron. I always will", he told her, his voice full of nothing but truth and love. A smile formed on her lips as she moved up her hand to hold his while a small tear fell down her cheek.

"I love you, Bucky. I always will", she repeated what he had said with a teary smile. With her same smile he slowly leaned closer to her and soon his lips were on hers. He kissed her passionately and hungrily after not being able to kiss her for months when he believed she was dead.

When they pulled apart he softly leaned his forehead against hers before slowly opening his eyes. The last thing Cameron saw were Bucky's ocean blue eyes before iris coloured ramifications began to wrap around everything and as everything around her started disappearing also Bucky did, leaving her alone.

A shaky sigh escaped her lips as she slowly looked around. Where there was once her home, now there was nothing but a big destroyed and empty field. The sky was dark and silence was surrounding her. A tear fell down her cheek and she closed her eyes. She took a sharp inhale before opening her eyes again.

Looking down she noticed that she wasn't in her previous clothes anymore, but she was wearing the suit she she wore the day she died during the final battle against Thanos. With one last sigh she slowly began walking through the field heading towards the others who were waiting for her.

As she walked, without even needing to actually physically do something, just using her mind she changed her clothes. Now she was wearing black jeans and black long boots and on top a big sweater.

As she walked, in the distance she spotted the five Avengers talking with Woo, Darcy and Monica. The first one to see her was Monica and as the woman locked eyes with her, Cameron gave her a nod as if to say 'thank you'. Monica nodded back before turning to the others and saying goodbye.

As she left Darcy and Woo followed her, leaving the Avengers with Cameron, who had just reached them. As soon as she was before them Tony was the first to run to her and hug her as tightly as he could. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and she hugged him back just as tight. After him it was Natasha and Clint and finally Sam.

When they pulled apart she finally spoke up.

"I'm sorry, for everything", she told him with an apologetic tone.

"It's okay, we understand", Natasha told her with a soft smile to which she smiled back.

"Now, come on. I'm gonna host the biggest welcome back party ever", Tony dramatically said making everyone chuckle. Then he wrapped his arm around his daughter's shoulders and they all began walking through the destroyed battlefield and to their own cars to get out of there.

Cameron was finally back, but what they didn't know was that a lot was going to change now.
