~Part Nine~

"What the fuck was that?" Drama snapped slapping my arm. "You can't be nice to her?" I ignored her and continued to pick at my plate. She stared at me, awaiting for the answer that I wouldn't give her. "Fine. Whatever. I like her so she's staying. Better get used to it sweetie." Drama rolled her eyes and turned back to her food.
I didn't like her. The new girl. She was definitely weird that was for sure. I watched out of the corner of my eye as Jenna flittered around Hadley, both of them giggling as if they were in their own little world. I gritted my teeth and stood up quickly, bumping the table with my hip in the process. That only caused everyone at the tables trays to jump. Their eyes locking on me. Shit... I hated when all the attention was on me. I smirked and laughed a little too nervously to hide the blush that I felt heating my cheeks. "I'm gonna go pass out. See you back at the room Drama." I said quickly as Hadley and Jenna sat back down in their chairs.
"You're leaving already Kir? You hardly ate a thing." Jenna looked at my plate skeptically, and then to me. "Not hungry," I said brushing her off. She stared at me disapprovingly, before telling me to sit back down and eat. I sighed, I always did have a soft spot for her. "Five minutes, then I'm leaving." I growled at her and she smiled at me. I made my hair fall into my face hiding the smile that had come on to it.
After I had finished eating I pushed away from the table. My chair scraping against the tile floor. "See you back at the room?" Drama asked raising an eyebrow. "Mm probably." I shrugged. She gave me a worried look but didn't object as I excused myself from the table. I picked up the pace in my stride until I got outside of the cafeteria. The snow was coming down harder than before, and I hugged my hoodie tighter around myself until I came to the my dorm building.
I carefully managed to ease the door open so the bells attached to it's handle didn't make any noise. The Dragon was asleep at her desk. Her blonde hair sticking up in every direction, and her head tilted back as she softly snored. She had her late night soap opera playing on her laptop. But along with her dinner, it had been long forgotten as sleep had over taken her.
I tiptoed past the huge desk, careful not to wake her as I passed in front of it and over to the stairwell. As soon as I had climbed up to the first floor I broke into a jog trying o get to the top floor as fast as I could. The whole building itself was six floors, not counting the roof. And that's were I was heading.
I triumphant smile broke out onto my face was I got to the door that led onto the roof. It had a "Staff Only" Sign pasted to the front of it. But I knew they never locked it. It opened as soon as I turned the handle, and the cold air from the outside world rushed into the warm building chilling me through my clothes. I didn't care about the temperature as I stepped out onto the cracked surface of the roof which was covered in a light dusting of snow.
