HIS HANDS GRIPPED her hips firmly as she swayed them around to the bear of the music. It was a club night and the amount of drugs and alcohol she'd consumed had sent her to another dimension. The girl was numb as a stranger breathed loudly in her ear and grinned down at her.

She wasn't interested in him yet she stayed with this nameless man as she searched for some warmth she missed.

The drugs ran through her blood like lightening. She almost didn't noticed the girl drop from the staircase until the guy holding her gasped. Dizzy looked around panicked. She didn't know what was going on.

Then she seen the blood pool by her sparkly black shoes. She widened her eyes, a gut wrenching scream left her lips as she witnessed the scene before her. Dancing people pushed against the panicked ones surrounding the girl causing them to move inward.

Thomas yelled inaudible things at her while she mushed herself against the wall. The guy she danced with took off.

Dizzy looked around helplessly as people flocked her. Her head was in a daze, mind scattered as Jace appeared next to her. She looked up to him, unable to form words. She couldn't even tell if this was real.

IT HAD BEEN a day or two later and the days events had stayed fresh in Dizzy's mind. College wouldn't wait for her to get over it. Time went on, so Dizzy pushed forward. She sat in the student lounge with her friends. Cook came and sat between her and Jace. Neither of them minded.

The pair had been standoffish for a while. It hadn't been like before with them. They rarely even talked. The night Jace came and forced Dizzy out of the way was the first time they interacted in a while.

Cook began to light a cigarette causing a man to call him out.

"You!" The man yelled over all of the noise in the room. Dizzy looked to him, it certainly wasn't Doug, that's for sure. "Would you mind awfully not smoking? Thank you. Just thought that I'd pop down and say. Hi, I'm David Blood, your new college director. And, I'm saying hi."

"What happened to Harriet?" Freddie asked.

"Harriet has moved on," David Blood told them. What a serious sounding name. It fit him well, Dizzy decided. "Because because because, let me see. How can I put this? Because this place is rubbish. And so are you. So now, we're all about change. Everything's going to change. We'll all do it together, yes? We can change. And if any of you find that difficult, I want you to know I will find you. I will interrogate you, I will expel you. I will expunge you. Great! Doug has an announcement. It's very important. So I know we will all listen carefully, otherwise, it's rude! Innit Doug?"

"Yes, of course it is, David," Doug agreed.

"Professor Blood," He corrected.

"So, welcome back, everyone," Doug said. A nice change of pace compared to Professor Blood, he was a lot. "Oggy, oggy, oggy! Great, lovely. And I'm afraid the police would like to interview you all."

DIZZY STOOD UP against the wall beside Jace. He looked over to her as she stared off vacantly. She didn't acknowledge him as she did so. He sighed and shuffled closer. This caused her to look up at him, perplexed.

"Can I help you?" Dizzy quizzed under Jace's eyes. He shifted them away toward the cops and back to her.

"Is everything alright with you? You've got that darty look in your eye like you're about to leave the room," Jace observed causing her to fold her arms. Those are the most words he's used with her in a while.

"Don't go give me ideas, Jace," Dizzy responded, her tone weaker than she would've liked. He sensed it, but didn't comment on it as his name was called by the cops.

"I'll see you around then?" Jace quizzed walking over to the cop. Dizzy sighed and waited for her turn. This would haunt her for a while.

THERE WAS A odd sound coming from the first floor of her house. Dizzy was home alone. The house was quiet and the fact that her dog had been at her aunts had made her even more nervous. She crept out of her room and down the stairs, unarmed. She grabbed a broom that had been leaning against the wall.

She slinked into the sitting room and found a familiar figure, smoking a cigarette in an armchair.

"Are you fucking kidding me? You gave me a heart attack!" Dizzy yelled and of course, Effy turned to her with a wicked smirk.

"I wanted my entrance to be grand. How've you been, old friend?" Effy said in a more joking manner and Dizzy rolled her eyes, collapsing on the sofa lazily.

"What brings you back? Come to fuck shit up, Eff?" Dizzy asked, leaning forward to steal her cigarette, taking a long drag.

"You've always known me better than myself," Effy smirked taking the cigarette from Dizzy's fingers.
