All worlds have a creator. They can't just come from randomness, randomness does not sustain life or matter. It does not create order, only chaos. Such is the same of the worlds of Nintendo, these worlds were created like ours. To sustain life and matter, and to have order.
Yet, amidst all this, a new being was made, the Master Hand. The Master Hand is from the imagination of people's hearts and desires, mainly the desire to unite the worlds of Nintendo. So after its birth into the abyss where it resided, a sort of in-between worlds, it began work.
It traveled in the shadows and began to take the best out of the Nintendo worlds, 8 worlds to be exact. The Mushroom Kingdom, Congo Jungle, Hyrule, Planet Zebes (before its destruction), Yoshi's Island, Planet Popstar, The Lylat System, and Kanto. He used this along with some of his power and created his world.
After he saw the world, he deemed it very good...but he only took the good, and all worlds must have light and shadow. The shadow, being rejected by this new world went and followed the logic of all worlds on how to get into this new world. It possessed the Master Hand and took complete control, now the Master Hand is filled with Darkness. Originally, the Master Hand only wanted a world where the Nintendo Worlds could live in harmony. Now, he wants to pit them against each other and fight to please the shadow and seep its presence in this new world.
The Master Hand took a while to ponder on how this could be accomplished, it's unlikely that the citizens of each world would fight on sight, nor do all want to fight, but then the idea came. He created 12 letters, these letters are invitations to a friendly fighting competition, and sent them to the most iconic of the Nintendo worlds, with hopes that if they accepted, he could trap them all and make them dolls. These dolls would be battle dolls that his hand can control and make them fight as he pleases. The perfect plan it seems. This pleased the Shadow greatly, and now it wouldn't be long before this newly created world could decide the fate of all the other worlds. If the Shadow gets its power seeped in this world it could leak out to the others and create destruction to all. If not, it'll cause a constant struggle for this as the forces of Good and Evil struggle to balance out.
This here is the tale of the world of wanted unity, but only discord. The tale of the fighters that wanted peace, but had to go to war. The tale that never meant to be told, but oh so epic is this tale. This is, the tale of what we call, the Super Smash Brothers.
