“Have you even felt bad?!" a boy asked furiously. "Of course I am!" the girl replied bitterly. "But can't you see?! He's happy! Please don't ruin that!" she begged.
I had woken up by that dream. I was confused of what was that? I can still remember it... Two people were arguing in my dreams. But I can't see their faces—it was blurry. I got up, I'm sure it's just nothing though. I glance the alarm clock, it's 7:18am.
My mind eventually gone to what had happened yesterday. It was a very long day for me. A lot had happened; the festival, found out about my father's infidelity, and Cedric... I smiled on that last word. Who would knew that the strange I've bump into the other day, was now my boyfriend...
But isn't it kinda rush?
Yeah, think so...
Miguel, you don't know him that much!
So? I would have the chance though
Something's off
No, don't think that!
Well, it surely odd but
I can't wait to meet him later or should I say meet my boyfriend? I'm so happy! We should think about what we call each other though. The door suddenly sprang open. It was Martin and he looked at me anxiously. "Did you-I mean, have you read the newspaper?" I shooked my head. He then gave me the newspaper.
AN INIQUITOUS
TWIST OF FATEWe all know that the moon have its dark side...
Writes, Richard Graham, TSNP.
Earlier this morning, September 18, 1997, Mayor DeCorazon was forcedly asked to come to the police for questioning. The most well-known distiller of Jazz River has brutally murdered just this morning. He was seen dead earlier this morning, around 2am inside his car. He was unfortunately last seen in the mayor's mansion. Some theorizing that the mayor ordered to killed him because he found out something on him or the mayor fears that he would steal his place as the mayor of Jazz River. Although, the police are still investigating this. The secretary of the mayor insisted that the mayor has nothing to do with this. He was also in question at the moment. Who would know that the mayor's reputation was gonna ruined by the strong crime accusations?"Is this true?" I confirmed in shock. It's hard to believe. The mayor? The one who's a saint to all eyes? Killed somebody? "Apparently" he answered shortly. "Dad's still in the police station" he continued, he looks worried. "You don't think he's somehow-" before I could continue it, he spoke, "Of course not! There's still no proof that-nevermind!" he said louder then stormed out of my room.
"Okay" I just uttered to myself.MY brother went to the police station and he asked me to come with him. When we got there, we immediately saw Katarina with Melissa, our little sister. Melissa was on her mother's lap—crying. While Melissa is sitting opposite to them. When we reached them, they stand up. "Your father is out there talking to the lawyer for my father's case" Mrs. Corazon said with a worrying tone or Mrs. San Agustin? I don't know if they got married though. Maybe if the divorcement of my parents are finished.
Katarina signal me to follow her. We gone outside the station. "They're not winning this case" she said softly. I turned to her with a confused look. "The evidence is quite strong. I don't think they can escape that." she continued. "But talking about-" I didn't finish my words because she suddenly spoke, "Connections? There's no use. He hit the wrong person"
"You think he really killed him" I asked but it doesn't sound like a question. "It's too early to say that but I heard they found a lot of weapons and drugs on his house earlier" she said. "What do you mean you heard? Don't you live there?" I asked with a confused tone.
