Aiah's POV

Saturday Morning

*engh engh engh*

I was awoken by my phone's alarming tone na si-net up ko last night.

Maliwanag na sa labas pero medyo dim pa rin inside since naka close pa yung curtains namin sa room. I slowly opened my eyes and moved to reach for the ringing device from the bedside table and looked to see it was 7 am in the morning.

Ugh, it's 7 already? Ang bilis naman. I thought to myself.

I contemplated on hitting the snooze button for another 10 minutes of sleep but I remembered hindi ako pwede ma-late for work today.

"Babiii.. turn it off please.." A soft voice coming from my left side mumbled.

There was Mikha, laid right next to me, or tangled rather, with her arms wrapped around my waist and her face half buried on the pillow.

I tapped the stop button and turned side ways to fully face the still sleeping Mikha. I smiled and moved strands of hair from the younger's face and stared at her.

Lord, thank you for blessing me every morning, ang ganda nito kahit natutulog. I smiled.

"O, baka matunaw ako nyan." Mikha smirked, eyes still closed.

"Ewan sayo. Gusto mo naman." I playfully pushed her to hide my blushing cheeks.

"I never said I didn't. I like it a lot. Ikaw na yan eh." She pulled me closer to cuddle me tightly. Ang clingy naman po.

"It's too early for your pambobola Mikha Lim, tigilan mo ako. I have to get ready for work."

"Work? Babi, it's Saturday. What work?"

"Remember I told you last night na I have to go in office today kasi we had to reschedule a meeting with one of the sponsors dun sa upcoming book project."

"Of course I remember. It's the first book na ikaw ang sole editor."

"Exactly! So I have to be there and work around their schedule to close this deal and super busy sya and today's the only day na available."

"If you'd only let me sponsor this project eh di sana you don't have to get up early and work on a weekend."

Mikha Lim is the CEO of the Lim Enterprises and Technologies and is known to be as one of the youngest, richest powerful business women across Asia. She succeeded the CEO title from her father after he stepped down a few years ago to focus on other family businesses and ever since, Mikha has been dominating the business world at age 25 and made it on Forbes 30 under 30. Mikha and Aiah met during one of the events in Cebu when Mikha was one of the guest speakers and Aiah was doing research and assisting one of their editors.

"Love, I appreciate your offer naman pero I told you I want to do this on my own diba? And besides, pumayag naman na ako mag stay to work for this publishing company na major stockholder ka so I have to work extra hard so my colleagues in the office won't think na everything is being handed to me on a silver platter." I reasoned.

Mikha reached for my hand and caressed it to ease my mind.

"People need to mind their own business and stop making chismis about you because you're a beautiful, talented hardworking woman, everyone knows that. Pinaghirapan mo where you are and what you achieved so far so wag mo silang pansinin, okay love? They're just inggit and it's not your fault na yayamanin and poganda jowa mo."

I smiled and moved closer to give Mikha a kiss. "Taas ng confidence mo, abot langit pero thank you love, you always know the right words to say and I'm grateful for it."
