He frowned upon seeing a man sitting beside Athena, too close for his liking. But Athena was not concentrating on what was happening around her. Her head was resting on her arm as she stared at the lake wit...
"Reid is the one who gets to control Andover. He's one of the small pawns of the Red Data Book. And there are hundreds like him around the world. No one knows where the real master of them reside. Nobody has ever seen him."
"Just a pawn?" Alex asked.
"Yes, and don't tell me that you had thought of finishing the whole group."
"I don't care about the group. If the boss is the one who gave the order to kill Athena, I would do it."
"Alex, li-"
"Continue about Reid."
Colton took a sigh.
"Reid is cruel and he doesn't hesitate to give out orders to kill anyone. The others might be more or less cruel than him. Besides being hard headed and violent, he has his fair share of fun. I've heard that his face and charm is enough for women to climb onto his lap."
"How do you know that?"
"I told you I was planning for their downfall since a year. Eavesdropping is quite helpful." Colton shrugs.
"Ivan, do you remember knowing that against whom was Athena fighting the case?" Alex asked.
"That was a petty local criminal."
"What if we get to him?"
"He's dead. Shot in jail." Ivan clenched his fist.
"How are we going to get Reid if no one of us have ever seen him?" Nate asked bringing his knees close.
Heavy silence hung in the air and only their rugged breathes were heard.
"I've a plan..." Colton said, looking at their faces.
"What is it?"
"Listen...."

Afew weeks later...
"Are you serious?" Alex narrowed his eyes at Colton who nervously looked around.
When Colton had told them that Reid goes to a specific club every Saturday, he hadn't expected it to be a strip club.
"Alex, I-"
"How are you so sure that Reid is inside?" Alex asked, crossing his arms.
Ivan and Nate hadn't come with them today. In these few weeks, they had somehow gathered some money to book a cheap motel room and spent their days there. They had escaped some near encounters with the men who are still hunting for Colton. Food wasn't as extravagant as they used to have but with a dangerous target on head, food was the last thing on their mind. It has been two months since Athena died. And a month since he had seen Athena Sullivan.
Alex blinked when the last thought crossed his mind.
Athena Sullivan? How's she now? Where's she? Had she married that Jack guy?
"I'm not the only one who feels resentment towards the Red Data Book in Andover. I've my brothers in the gang." Colton grinned while Alex rolled his eyes.
"How are we going to identify him?"
"That's still a problem. Let's get inside first."
When they went inside, Alex almost vomitted. The smell of alcohol and sweat created a pungent smell that was enough to remind Alex of the burger he had devoured at lunch. They moved through the crowd in their 'shining' blue jacket that had belonged to Ivan and Nate. Women moved around in negligees as they seduced the men sitting around. A woman came out of the crowd and placed her hand on his shoulder.
Alex jumped in horror.
"What the-"
"Shhh.." The woman pulled Alex close. Colton snickered.
The woman pulled Alex and pushed him into one of the barstools. Before she could proceed further, Colton grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him. Alex heaved a sigh of relief.
The woman smirked. She tried to trace a hand on Colton's stubble but Colton caught her hand.
"Such a pretty thing you're." Colton raised his eyebrow in amusement.
"The thing down there is pretty too." The woman raised her eyes suggestively and pushed her body close to Colton.
Colton grabbed her waist and traced her jaw with his fingers. He leaned forward and whispered in her ears.
"Pretty things are what I like to keep in my possession but..."
Colton rubbed his nose in her neck. The woman arched his back. Alex looked on in disgust.
"I need you to find someone." Colton traced his hands on her hips.
The woman frowned.
"Reid."
The woman stepped back. "I'm not into finding people, sorry."
The woman was turning to leave but Colton grabbed her and pulled her towards him. His hands dropped to her thighs and caressed them. He whispered near her lips:
"Please. Find him and mix this in his drink..." He handed over a small paper. "Take him to your bedroom."
"What do I get in return?"
"Me." Colton smirked.
"I like a confident guy, your work would be done."
The woman stepped back, took the paper and disappeared into the crowd.
"What the hell did you do?" Alex asked.
Colton looked back at Alex and burst into laughter.
"You should have seen your face when the woman came.."
Alex grumbled.
"I hope this works." Colton mumbled.
Alex relaxed himself on the barstool and ordered a lemonade. He already felt tired. Colton sat beside him and ordered a lemonade. Their eyes kept following the woman. She sat around the different laps of men. Colton waited. And then he saw her take one man towards the bedroom.
