"It's been assumed by the police that the notorius bloody painter was behind these missing cases. Police are still trying to rule out all possibilities within these cases and-"
"Snowball, come here~"
The fresh air of winter fills the town as you chase after your rabbit inside the apartment.
Winter had just arrived, and on your way home, you found quite the adorable collar on a pet store. It had those rose designs on it with while tiny pearls like beads were placed on it as well. You thought your dear Snowball would very much look quite adorable wearing it, and without hesitation, you went inside the store and purchased the item. On your way home, you found quite a lot of missing posters on the streets. You stopped on your tracks before looking at the missing people on the walls.
"I hope these people get found soon."
You wished salvation for these missing people and continued walking with a hoping heart that they may be found some day. You arrived at the apartment and saw your dear bunny on the wooden table, stomping her fate. She seems upset by how long you took, quite the impatient and sassy rabbit of yours, yet nevertheless, you still adore and love her. You smiled at her and chuckled at her demeanor.
"Alright, alright. I apologize for taking so long, Your Highness. But look! I got you something~"
You cooed to her as you took out the roses and pearl collar that you got for her and showed it to her. She sniffed the collar.
"Isn't pretty?"
You smiled at her. Although, it seems miss little snowball is still not pleased. You stare at her dumbfounded before your smile turns into a frown.
"Don't you like it?"
You asked the rabbit. Snowball only seemed very indifferent and stomped her feet. Your eyes widen at the sudden realization. It's past your dear bunny's dinner. Feeling embarrassed and silly for forgetting, you chuckled nervously before you pulled out a celery out of your grocery bag and gave it to that impatient and sassy little rabbit of yours.
"Right. Here you go. Sorry, I got caught up with other things that I nearly forgot your dinner"
Though, the word dinner had made your stomach rumble, realizing you also forgot to eat dinner yourself. You made your way towards the kitchen to get yourself a meal. You opened your fridge and saw your leftover macaroni and cheese still there. You took it out and placed it in the oven for reheating. You sat in the table and looked around your apartment. You then noticed a mail in the mail receiver by the door
"Is it from the landlord?"
You asked yourself as you stood up and walked towards it. As you grow closer, you notice the bold and red letters inside a thick circle, saying "NOTICE" It really is from your landlord. Concern grew on your face as you made your way back to the kitchen table, remembering how you failed to pay last month's rent and have been overdue. You opened the letter and read its content.
"Dear tenant of room 404, you have about 5 days to make pay rent. If the transaction has not been completed within 5 days, you will be forced evicted"
You sighed as you read you finished reading the letter. You're already 22 now, a fully functioning adult. Yet you're not. You're already struggling to pay rent alone. Your job as a waitress at the diner isn't helping much with your situation either. You were forced to leave your house at the age of 18 due to the toxicity of your household. Although it was not your typical poor household with the drunk father and struggling mother. It was quite the opposite.
