I feel really strange. Outside, there is nothing but snow. Below, it’s quiet. It feels like the cold is freezing everything... Is this my fault? Everyone must be cold...

"The storm is getting worse by the minute, or is it just me?" asked one of the servants. "You're not the only one, Jinko. The invited guests will have trouble getting here," replied the other servant. The two servants of the house were preparing the beds. They added extra blankets, one by one, so that the people in the house would stay warm. "If this doesn't stop soon, we'll be pure ice," said a girl with long red braids. "Oh, Lucy, how's it going with the guest rooms?" asked Atsushi. "It's fine, but the situation with the others is a nightmare. Total chaos. The children are going wild, they want to go outside. But they don't understand the situation," she sighed. Atsushi, Akutagawa, and Lucy were the servants of the Poe house. They took care of the guests and anything that weighed on their hearts. "But I think Dazai-san is the only one who's truly calm," said Akutagawa. "What do you mean by that? I haven't seen him today," said Atsushi, who was wiping the table. "Well, I was down in the cellar with him. It seemed like he was waiting for someone. He looked so peaceful and content. I don't understand how he can act that way in such a situation. Even Mr. Mori is worried." Lucy and Atsushi exchanged doubtful glances. "But the most important people we're waiting for are Sir Sigma, and especially Sir Ranpo. And as far as I know, Dazai-san isn't really interested in either of them," Lucy said, sounding concerned but confused. "It'll be fine, Lucy. If anyone shows up, we'll know right away," Atsushi tried to reassure her, and it worked. "Okay, enough talking. Back to work," said Akutagawa, and the other two sighed.
