for mizu's skz-record songs, she has only been doing song covers. she has never written a song before but today's the day that mizu will finally produce a song. with the help of chan, of course.

after mizu had painstakingly written everything, she asked chan to produce a beat. it's only been a few days but she couldn't help but feel unsure about the lyrics she wrote. mizu knocked softly on his door and walked inside. "miz! perfect timing! come here, sit down!"

"about the song... chan, you've seen the choreography and the lyrics i wrote... right?" mizu asked as she nervously sat on the chair he pulled out next to him. she kept fidgeting with her fingers, waited for him to respond.

chan was about to speak when he noticed how much she was fidgeting and how her leg was bobbing. it gave him the gist that something was wrong.

"yeah... i've seen them. why...?" he turned his chair towards her. his eyes flicked down to her leg for a few seconds before looking back up at her.

"do you think it's too much? i feel like it's too..." the flustered girl trailed off, waving her hands and trying to find the right words to describe it.

chan just chuckled slightly. mizu was acting nervous and anxious but he understood why. this was the first time she tried something like this before. "it's a bit... much. it's really mature and seductive." he answered bluntly.

"well— i wouldn't put it that way..." mizu scratched the back of her neck and looked away. suddenly, she couldn't tell if the room was getting warmer or it was just her.

he leaned back into his chair, keeping his eyes on her. "then how would you describe it?" he asked with a slightly teasing tone. the thought of mizu being all shy and awkward right now made him smirk a little bit. he found it amusing.

mizu's eyes slowly traveled back and settled on him. she's seen that look before and she didn't want him to continue... at all... she cleared her throat and sat up straight. "just show me the song..."

"okay, okay." chan chuckled again as she collected herself. he turned the computer screen towards her and played the beat he had made. as mizu listened to the song he produced and worked on, she thought that it felt like it belonged with her lyrics. even though it was quite provocative, she loved it.

chan silently observed her through his peripheral vision. he was watching and waiting for her to give him some sort of reaction. after a moment, he spoke up, curiosity getting the better of him. "so, how do you like it? do you think it fits your concept well?"

"y—yeah... my concept..." she awkwardly laugh at his comment. she definitely didn't want to get into detail of the lyrics she wrote for the song. "i love it. thanks chan." she gave him a small and genuine smile regardless of his endless teasing.

chan smiled and couldn't help himself from continuing his teasing. but his smile faded into a softer one when she told him she loved it. it was refreshing to see her out of her usual cool facade. "i'm glad you like it." he chuckled, enjoying this cute side of hers more than he'd like to admit. he turned off the music and swivelled his chair to face her properly.

he wasn't used to this side of her, but he found himself liking it. usually, mizu would be more confident, intimidating and sassy, but now she was shy, cute and awkward. he wanted to savor this moment a little longer, it was so rare to see.

"what?" mizu spoke and breaks the silence. her voice came out softer and quieter than she expected. "nothing! i just like this side of you. seeing you all shy and awkward for once is refreshing." chan replied with the same teasing tone as earlier. he leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest.

she frowned and furrowed her eyebrows when she felt her cheeks starting to heat up. "that's because you're the only member to read the lyrics i wrote. it's embarrassing." she huffed and crossed her arms together.

"yeah, i can definitely see why." he gave a small chuckle before continuing. "your lyrics are... interesting, to say the least. but it's cute to see you all flustered like this."

"maybe i should've gone for a more cuter concept..." mizu mumbled and looked away. she was definitely feeling conflicted about the song and definitely ignoring the fact that chan called her cute.

chan chuckled again. "no, no. i actually really like it." he reassured her, leaning his elbows on his legs and leaning closer to her.

"really? you like the idea of subliminal, sexual lyrics about a toxic relationship?" mizu raised her eyebrows at him. in all honestly, mizu liked the concept. she just didn't want the members or the fans to judge her from the lyrics she writes.

chan hummed and shifted in his chair, thinking. "well, when you word it like that, it sounds weird—" he barely could finish his own sentence because when mizu heard the words 'it sounds weird', she immediately groaned and slouched on the chair. "i knew it! i should just make a different song with different lyrics..." she dramatically whined.

"hey, hey, don't back out now. i already like it the way it is." chan said, he really fought back the urge to tease her again as he held back his laughter.

"fine..." mizu sighed and slowly calmed herself down. she tilted her head up to look at chan and leaned her head on the palm of her hand. "come to think of it... the songs you write are more sexual than mine..." she muttered and squinted her eyes at him.

"is it..?" he asked, feigning innocence. he played dumb, knowing very well that his song was sensual. he plans his lyrics well.

"yeah..." she slowly answered as the room slowly goes quiet. they stared at each other and stayed silent for a few more seconds before he spoke. "i'd say we're both pretty shameless, huh?"

"pftt... us? shameless?" mizu chuckled but it only dies down when she realised he was being serious. they stared at each other once again before she cleared her throat and stood up. "i'll see you tomorrow to finalise my song..." she stated, her eyes never leaving him as she exit the studio.

chan's smile never faltered as she stood up. he found it cute how she tried to deny it so easily, but he couldn't say he didn't do the same. when she stood up and announced that she would finalise the song tomorrow with him, he smiled teasingly. "see you then." he answered simply, watching her as she walked out. he felt his eyes linger on her form, still amused by this softer side of her.
