Gianna's chest heaved as Rafe kept a firm grip on her face, preparing herself for a sudden collision between his hand and her cheek. Gianna feared Rafe in that moment. She knew what he was capable of, especially now more than ever. If he was capable of shooting his own blood, than Gianna was simple a drop in the ocean.

But wait. Gianna shouldn't have to fear him. He was in her house. He asked where she was because he wanted to speak to her. And Gianna had been more than understanding about his situation. Hell, about his crime.

So, with all her strength and pent up frustration, she placed her two hands on Rafe's chest and shoved him away. Not expecting the act, he stumbled backwards before regaining his posture.

"You have some nerve coming into my fucking house and threatening me like that after everything I have done for you!" She barked, her index finger almost in his face. "After— after helping a murderer. Because if someone finds out that I knew about what you did, I could be charged as an accomplice to your crime."

Rafe's mouth parted slightly, watching the girls unexpected outburst.

"My entire life could be on the line, and yet you only think about yourself!" She yelled, moving to sit on the edge of her bed, elbows on her knees as she held her face in her hands. Muffled sobs came from her, followed by quick gasps for air and hiccups.

Rafe kept quiet, standing a few feet away from her. She looked up at him, seeing him stare anywhere but at her. His head looked empty, and Gianna knew it was due to the drugs in his system.

She sniffled. "Do you have your car?" She asked him, face wet with tears.

"I have my bike," he rasped.

She huffed, wiping at her nose. "You're taking me to Marisa's." The honey blonde got up from her bed, grabbing her phone and moving out of her room. Rafe didn't even try to contradict, only accepting her words and following her down the stairs.

Leaving the home, Gianna spotted Rafe's motorcycle directly in front of the house. She waited for him to hop on the bike first, handing her a separate helmet. She sat behind him, clicking the helmet under her chin, bracing herself for the motorcycle's engine to start.

Rafe quickly began driving off, the night breeze flowing through Gianna's hair, consequently drying the tears that had streamed down her face.

The ride to the Kane girls house was quick, seeing as the motorcycle drove swiftly through the neighborhoods.

Rafe stopped right in front of Marisa's house, waiting for Gianna to get off. She stepped onto the sidewalk, taking off the helmet and practically shoving it into Rafe's hands.

She turned around, facing the home and walking towards it, not sparing so much than a glance to the boy behind her.

She sniffled, knocking quickly on the door. She could hear rummaging on the other side, followed by Marisa opening the large entry.

The ravens face contorted as she caught view of Gianna, with red rimmed eyes and tear stains rolling down her cheek.

"Gia? What's going on..." Marisa averted her gaze to Rafe, who watched the interaction from his motorcycle.

Gianna's voice sounded nasal. "I'm going to tell you." She nodded, more to convince herself that she was actually going to do this.
