Inside a circle on the wooden floor, Yoon Jeonghan sat in a lotus position. His wrists tied with a red silk ribbon rested in his lap. An intricate spell woven with white chalk lines swirled and looped and arched all around him. The spell had a golden halo. A sign that it was active. The halo shimmered and pulsed in a steady rhythm, as if mirroring its prisoner's heartbeat.

The light from the spell cast a soft glow over Jeonghan's body and made his hair shine like liquid gold as it cascaded down the sides of his face and outlined his features which were a mix of beautiful and masculine.

Jeonghan's eyes were closed, appearing asleep. Someone had arranged his white robes neatly at his feet. Bare feet peeked under the fine fabric, wrapped in the yellowish light.

A long while later, Yoon Jeonghan opened his eyes. There was no hint of sleep visible in the depth of his black irises, giving the impression he hadn't slept at all. There was no change in the spell, either.

His eyes drifted over the room. Stark emptiness met his gaze. They had carved all four walls and ceiling out of stone and dirt.

A sliding door was on the opposite side. His eyes lingered on the doors before his gaze settling on the window to his right. It framed snow-capped mountain peaks. Above the peaks, a luminous orb hung among stars. The moon looked at an arm's reach. It definitely wasn't this close to his window back at home.
