The house was alive with a buzz of anticipation. Suzune had been straightening up for hours, checking every last detail and making sure everything was set for the arrival of Gojo, Saya, and Aiko. Kiyotaka had taken a more relaxed approach, setting out snacks and casually glancing at the clock every now and then, his calm demeanor a grounding contrast to Suzune's meticulousness.

Finally, the doorbell rang, and Kiyotaka opened the door to find Gojo and Saya standing there, along with Aiko, whose smile was even brighter than usual. Behind each of them was someone new—Gojo's girlfriend, Lori Utahime; Saya's boyfriend, Tenshi Shiina; and Aiko's boyfriend, who, even in the doorway, looked like he was sizing up everyone in the room.

"Suzune, they're here," Kiyotaka called, stepping aside so they could all enter.

Gojo immediately broke into a wide grin, pulling Kiyotaka into a quick, informal hug. "Good to see you, Dad," he said with a laugh, clapping him on the back before stepping in to hug Suzune as well.

Saya and Aiko greeted their parents in turn, and soon everyone was inside, settling in the living room.

"you know Lori," Gojo said, motioning to the girl next to him, who had large, curious eyes and a gentle demeanor. Lori offered a shy wave before taking a seat close to Gojo, her hand casually brushing against his.

"And I'm Tenshi," said the young man standing beside Saya, a kind, intellectual look in his eyes. "Saya's told me a lot about you both."

Aiko's boyfriend, however, made a more self-assured entrance. "Aiko and I have been together for a while now. Name's Hiro," he said, not waiting for introductions before striding into the room as though he owned it.

Suzune watched Hiro with a raised brow as he immediately made himself comfortable in the armchair, striking up a conversation with Kiyotaka about all the things he thought he could do better than the average person. She gave Kiyotaka a look, and he gave a nearly imperceptible nod, recognizing her unspoken message: This is going to be interesting.

With everyone now seated, the atmosphere in the room grew warmer—except for the occasional sidelong glance Hiro kept throwing at Kiyotaka and Gojo. Lori sat comfortably on Gojo's lap, quietly spoon-feeding him bits of ice cream. Saya, meanwhile, was chatting with Kiyo and Suzune, enjoying the closeness of family. Tenshi, with an earnest expression, was deep in conversation with Kiyotaka, happily discussing books and philosophy.

Aiko, however, looked increasingly uncomfortable as Hiro kept interrupting with a loud comment or dismissive quip whenever someone else tried to speak.

"So, Kiyotaka," Hiro began, his tone a bit too self-assured, "you must feel lucky to have someone like Aiko around. After all, she's got quite the impressive boyfriend," he added with a self-satisfied grin, making an exaggerated show of glancing around the room as if expecting everyone to be in awe.

Kiyotaka's response was calm and even. "Yes, I'm very proud of Aiko," he said, but there was a glint in his eye that hinted at his assessment of Hiro's attitude.

Suzune, seated nearby, leaned over to Saya, Kiyo, and Tenshi to continue their conversation, the four of them easily ignoring Hiro's efforts to dominate the discussion. Kiyo, who had missed his older siblings dearly, was clinging to Saya with a warm smile. "I've missed you," he said, squeezing her hand.

Saya ruffled Kiyo's hair. "I missed you too, little brother. I'll tell you all about ANHS if you're interested."

"I want to hear all about it!" Kiyo replied, beaming.

Meanwhile, Hiro attempted to steer the conversation back to himself by challenging Gojo. "I bet I could teach you a thing or two about fencing," he said, glancing smugly between Gojo and Tenshi.
