Chapter 7 Broken But determined.

I knew I couldn't spend the last of my days here moping around. I mean, I'd have to commit tax fraud soon!

Jokes aside, I knew I needed to change not just because I was nearly a year away from 18 but because I needed to become a maid. I NEED answers. I need to know what happens to those without a home, Even though I'm in that category. My home world won't ever welcome me back, I know that much, and honestly, I don't know if I want to. I was always too peculiar in their opinion. I thought differently and they hated that, but here...Everyone's welcoming and kind, and nobody judges me for being odd. we all giggle and dance or we tell tales in the activity hall. Sometimes we make the educators cry because we all start singing simultaneously! All those times made me giggle. but more importantly was Melonie's kindness, seeing her work hard giving it her all and just being so kind to me despite my own struggles became the reason I wanted to join the team. She became the reason I wanted to join, and The reason I wanted to be a better person.

I finally did it, I picked up the pieces I left behind so far ago I started rebuilding myself. I watched as maids beamed with pride as I welcomed new orphans, guiding them around or played in activity's assisting others in need. one day I was approached by Zara who smiled speaking "I'm so proud of how you have improved, I know you were hurting and to see you be so welcoming and treating so many orphans with care, well I'm proud of you so..." she fidgets around with a satchel before pulling out a badge of some kind "I want you to have this" she smiles attaching the pin to my uniform as I beam with pride hugging her

"Thank you so much miss Zara!" I smiled with pride in my eyes as she handed me a pride cake while mouthing shh as an intern passed by

we both giggled and I smiled feeling right at home again as if I was with a familiar friend she smiles clearing her throat "I Look forward to seeing you on our team!" with that we head to the activity hall. I can't remember much of that day. it just blurred I remember having fun though and that's what's important.

I could leave it there or talk about my birthday but I want to share some of the more memorable moments.

Gaga I mean Gaba Kayla and rose and I got into all sorts of shenanigans, Even meeting a younger orphan with a obsession with cowboys, so let me name a few and get into them

Classroom boogies and Educators night terror

Classroom was always fun, wed start off taking notes 'paying attention' We knew all the lessons by heart at this point Suddenly Gala give em the Look and I grin looking back as we turn to Looking At Ari directly in her face as we belt out loud "I JUST WANNA BE"

Gala then replies in a shakey tones "WE KEEP ON SINGING DON'T LET GO!"

Gage went silent as Ren replies "SYMPHONNNNNY DIOLENCIA ABOUT TO PUT US IN ISO"

Dio smiles "worse than iso" she picks me up by my shirt, next thing i know another intern is standing by a small jail cell with a sign saying "baby jail" she drops me in much to my protests

soon gala came down to tease me before Ari snuck up and dropped her in, I laugh as I state, "Hey now I'm not the only baby!"

Gaba rolls her eyes "please you spent all year crying girl blocked"

Azura was dropped in with Gage Azura turns to me she chuckles before saying "short."

I then turn to her "tall" causing us both to laugh "I'm Fraey by the way."

she nods "alright fey I'm Azura."

picking up on the sass I smile and curtesy "nice to meet you, Zuzu." of course we both end up laughing and playfully bickering
