"Are you ready?" My sister, Annalise, asks. No, I'm not ready, but that's not what she wants to hear so I lie for the hundredth time today, "Yes."

"Your so lucky your marrying Liam! I mean everybody was so shocked that someone was actually able to take him off the market." Annalise giggles as she continues to curl my hair.

Sometimes I think she likes my fiance more then me.

A knock on the door interrupts my thoughts. "Vivienne, hunny are you ready? The ceremony is starting in.. Now actually." A voice calls from the other side of the door.

The rest of my life depends on this moment.. I should be happy, so why am I not?

I stare at myself in the mirror, the girl that stares back is someone I don't recognize.

Long curled brown hair sits elegantly in an updo, an off-white wedding dress, red lipstick, and sliver jewelry, couldn't be anymore different from the girl that always wore her hair down, and never owned an article of clothing that costs more than 50 dollars.

As a child, I used to believe that on my wedding day I would marry the guy I couldn't love without.

Boy would she be disappointed to find out I'm not marrying the guy that made my heart beat faster just thinking about him.

With a sigh I give myself one more once over and walk out the door. Here goes nothing.

"God, my baby is growing up so fast." My mother whispers, tears in her pretty blue eyes. I smile, and open up my mouth to reply but I'm shocked into silence when I see Dallas Hayes sitting in the front row.

"Mom, what the hell is Dallas doing here?" I ask the second I get my voice back.

My mom turns her head to follow where I'm currently looking then shrugs, "I don't know, haven't seen that boy since he was a teen." Even as a teen Dallas was the most beautiful man I've ever laid my eyes on.

"Well whatever. I just want to get married." I lie as I fake a smile. It seems like faking is all I'm doing these days.

"Of course, let me go get your dad.. It's time to walk you down the aisle." She squeals, her voice filled with love and warmth.

I do feel bad lying to my mom about how I truly feel, but if she knew what I really felt, she wouldn't be so happy like she is now, and her being happy these days is important. So like always, I keep my mouth shut and plaster a fake smile on my face.

My dad walks me down the aisle in silence. Luckily my dad isn't too big on emotions because I don't think I'd be able to handle him getting sensitive on me too.

"Vivi, I hope you know I will love you no matter what." My dad says, unfortunately filling the silence.

I should've known he'd be able to tell I'm not happy, he's always figured out when I was hiding something as a child.

"I know dad, I'm happy with my decision. I love Liam." I hate that I have to lie to my dad as well but I know he can't take another heartbreak.

Finding out his wife has cancer isn't the best news a guy could receive.

"I'm so proud of the woman you've become." My father says as he kisses me on my cheek.

He says more after that but I stop listening because Dallas is staring straight at me.. And holy shit he's gotten hotter.
