Chapter 8: Saviour II

I snickered and hesitantly agreed. Andy put Batman on and we both take our spots back on the bed. I don't remember how much Batman I saw before I fell asleep, but I know it wasn't a lot. I was exhausted from our trip and didn't notice until I was relaxing in front of a TV.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Andy and I were jolted awake hours later by the sound of someone knocking on his door. I jump so bad I fall out of the bed, hitting my head off Andy's head as I jump.

"Fuck." I say from the floor. I look at my watch. 2AM. "Who could be here at this time if night. What the hell."

Andy rubs his eyes and stands up. The person on the other side of the door knocks again. I stay on the floor behind the bed. Andy growls a bit and walks towards the door. He leaves the chain on the door and opens it a crack. It was Jinxx.

I sigh a giant sigh of relief and stand up. Andy lets Jinxx in and I give him a big hug. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Andy didn't tell you? You called me right before I had to leave for the airport. I wanted to get some time with my kid before I flew out here. We're playing a show in Columbus tomorrow night before Andy hunkers down with his parents for a couple months. He didn't invite you to the show?" Jinxx said.

"I got the hint that she wasn't interested. I didn't want to pressure her. She hasn't even heard of us, why would she want to come to our show?"

"I have to work the next day, so I can't. But I'd drive down to Columbus and hang out with you before the show. There's an immersive at exhibit there similar to the one where I meet you guys. It's called Otherworld." I said, not realizing what was coming out of my mouth.

"Really? That's awesome! My parents are supposed to be at the show, maybe I can get them to drive up earlier so you can meet them! They would love you!" Andy said ecstatically.

"Is, that just a jar of Skippy peanut butter?" Jinxx asks, noticing Andy's open jar next to the bed with my spork sticking out if it.

"Did you eat that whole thing when I fell asleep?" I ask, noticing it was empty.

Andy shrugs and we both laugh at him.

"The snow let up a lot. It's also very localized. I don't think we'll have any trouble driving to Columbus." Jinxx said.

"That's good, I wouldn't want to disappoint the fans." Andy replied with a chuckle. "Do you think Sam and Barbara will be there?" He looks at me. I just just shake my head.

Jinxx gives me an inquiring look and I shake my head. "I'll tell you later."

"Some girls saw Cali and I at the store together. Said some shit to Cali because they were jealous she was there with me. They were harmless, just a bit jealous." Andy said facing Jinxx. Jinxx glanced at me and I gave him a look and shrugged, showing him there was more to the story Andy didn't know.

"Jake and Cece should be in Columbus already. Lonny has a room down the hall if you wanted to wake him up too. Cali got trapped here from the snow." Andy said, hinting for Jinxx to leave.

"I'll wake him, but I'll be back." Jinxx said, looking at me. He left, closing the door behind himself.

"So Cali," Andy said. "I can probably drive you home now."

"You can, but do you want to?" I ask in a flirting way. Something about him eating a whole jar of peanut butter and then falling asleep after I did made me like and trust him more.

Andy smirked before he responded. "I want to hold you as you sleep again. I want you to know I will protect you. I won't let anything bad happen to you when you're with me."
