The rain pattered softly against the window, creating a soothing rhythm that filled the small café where you and Seungmin sat. The cozy atmosphere was enhanced by the warm glow of the hanging lights, but Seungmin seemed lost in his own thoughts, his gaze distant as he stirred his cup of coffee absentmindedly.

You watched him, noticing how his brows knitted together and the way his lips were turned down slightly, hinting at his uncharacteristic mood. Seungmin was usually so full of life, always the jokester of the group with a smile that could light up even the darkest of days. It was rare to see him looking so serious, and it tugged at your heart.

"Hey, Seungmin," you said softly, trying to pull him from his thoughts. "What's on your mind?"

He looked up, meeting your gaze, and sighed. "Just thinking about some stuff... you know how it is."

You nodded, but you could tell he was holding back. "Do you want to talk about it?"

He shook his head, offering a small, weary smile that didn't reach his eyes. "Not really. It's just been a long week."

Determined to lighten the mood, you leaned in closer, a playful smile spreading across your face. "What if I told you I have a secret weapon to help brighten your day?"

His curiosity piqued, he raised an eyebrow. "A secret weapon? Now I'm intrigued."

You reached into your bag and pulled out a small, colorful origami crane you had folded earlier that day. "Ta-da! A little piece of art, just for you."

Seungmin stared at the crane, the corners of his lips twitching slightly. "You made this?"

"Yep! It's a symbol of peace and happiness. I thought you might like it." You offered it to him, your heart racing a bit at the hope that it would bring a smile to his face.

He took the crane in his hands, turning it over gently as he examined the delicate folds. "It's really impressive. I didn't know you were so crafty."

"It's just a hobby," you shrugged, trying to downplay your effort. "But I thought it would remind you that even the smallest things can bring joy."

Seungmin looked up from the crane, his expression softening. "You always know how to cheer me up."

You grinned, feeling a surge of warmth. "That's my goal! But I have more tricks up my sleeve."

"More?" he asked, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes.

"Absolutely! How about some dad jokes?" You leaned back, preparing yourself. "Okay, here's one: Why did the scarecrow win an award?"

He tilted his head slightly, intrigued. "Why?"

"Because he was outstanding in his field!"

Seungmin's eyes widened in disbelief, and for a moment, you thought you might have missed the mark. But then, he let out a soft laugh, the sound like music to your ears.

"Okay, that was terrible," he said, shaking his head but unable to hide the smile that had spread across his face. "You really have a way with humor, don't you?"

"Just trying to get you to smile, because it's beautiful," you replied, your gaze locked onto his.

The laughter in his eyes lingered, and he chuckled softly again, this time more genuinely. "You're ridiculous."

"And you're the one who needed to be reminded of your own beauty," you shot back playfully.

"Alright, alright! You win," he said, finally allowing a real smile to break through the cloud of his earlier mood. The corners of his lips turned up, revealing those adorable dimples that made your heart flutter. "Thank you."

You couldn't help but smile back, your heart soaring at the sight of his joy. "See? Much better."

As the rain continued to fall outside, you and Seungmin shared a light-hearted conversation, filled with laughter and warmth. In that moment, you knew that even on the rainiest of days, a little kindness and a genuine smile could make all the difference.
