Summary
Beomgyu lives a double life because he's afraid his friends won't approve the real him. They have absolutely no clue Beomgyu changes his appearance to watch his favorite underground band. In addition, he simply cannot tell them he has a crush on the lead singer of this band, Kang Taehyun.

Beomgyu was a rebellious teenager. His family's disapproval of his behavior made him depressed so in order to allow their acceptance, he now feigns his personality and appearance.
He comes from a background of sophistication. In his first year of college, he made friends with a group who are well-mannered and dressed classy, the complete opposite of himself. He wears cardigans and sometimes glasses yet he would rather wear band t-shirts and ripped jeans. He also likes to put his long hair back into a ponytail and occasionally wear make up to accentuate his eyes. The friends he made are the type who would drive fancy cars yet he would rather ride his bike. They go to symphonies yet he would rather go to a rock concert.
During the day Beomgyu lives a sophisticated life but at night he changes his entire appearance and sneaks away to a place where he can be himself.
In other words, Beomgyu lives a double life.
His favorite place to go to is a music venue that underground bands perform at. This type of atmosphere is more his scene. It's the type of music Beomgyu likes and opposes the mainstream pop music most people seem to enjoy.
After observing these bands for a while, there is a new band that piqued his interest even more than the others he's seen.
This new band he discovered one night is called Dear Sputnik.
Not only the members of this band seem super cool and perform great music but one of the members immediately captured his attention—Kang Taehyun, the lead singer of Dear Sputnik.
Taehyun's vocals and stage presence is immaculate but don't even get Beomgyu started on the lead singer's appearance.
